i agree with you 100% on this one big guy. I wanna say one thing though, the kids who make fun of people who cut themselves are retarted. Because in doing so, it probably only adds fuel to the fire. And these are the people i want to kill, who can't try to be compassionate for those people who really are just messed up in the head, or emotionally screwed, or soemthing. Because I've helped alot of people out of that, and you don't do it by makgin fun of them. ya that's about all. in your words, rant over.

Well, to be honest.

Your version of "Emo" is different than mine. Let me start about how I classify your situation.

I call it in two ways, people who are tring to say they have a bad life and are tring to get attention by being gay and what not. That is my classifcation of emo.

People who TRULY are having a hard life and truly are getting problem after problem. I don't give them a title. Their people, all the same, due to the simple fact they don't put ON the fact they have it hard. They are GIVEN the fact of a hard life. They are truly great people in a sense, they mostly show a sense of strenght.

But, people who overly complain about life, and never shut up about a single situation. Those are what I call emo.

SUMMARY

I don't call emo, what you would call some emos.

Emo lol

I thought I'd give you the benefit of the doubt and read the next one, with some girl who cut herself and the like. You didn't bring any evidence on that situation because you don't know why she cuts herself. MAYBE she does it for attention, hmmm?

Whenever someone gives shit to an emo, I instantly know they are:

A: Unintelligent
B: A follower

I would say, 90% of the people who give shit to emo's, and say they hate them have NEVER even spoken to an emo. It just makes them feel big and clever that they can insult someone they know wont attack back, and that they have a bunch of other retards who will say the same thing because everyone else says it. I used to be kinda affraid and judgemental of goths and the like, until I went to my first death metal concert. I realised there that they are PEOPLE like any of us. We were all getting together and having a fucking good time getting into the music, they are no different. They just look weird to most people.

Also, I am in no way emo, except I am into punk, rock, metal, death metal. I am also into rave music, anything that is rap/hiphop/rnb.

MY CONCLUSION
I laugh at all you retards who are scared to socialise out of your social groups. Thats all this is.

I don't care all theese stupid stereo type fads that are being followed my the hundreds. There all just stupid classes twelve year olds make up to feel part of somewhere.

Personally at my school this hardly EVER happens. Almost everyone doesn't acknoledge themself as a class except for a few. But I find people who follows theese stupid fads are just week minded and need to belong to something because they don't have enough independance.

Thanks for not putting down emos like most of the other hillbilly hicks on this website, and explaining it to others. I have several emo friends and they are offended all the time by people on the street, people on the internet, in games, at school, everywhere.

First of all, your assertion that the anti-emo crusade is a form a racism is, quite frankly, wrong. Racism is discrimination based on race, not on looks.

Secondly, you're right about the MySpace thing. However, MySpace still fucking sucks.

Thirdly, I agree with you that the fact that hating emos has become a trend is just fucking sad. As much as emos are annoying, 13-year-old "anti" emos who have no personal experience with the subculture and just hate emos because it's the trendy thing to do are quite possibly worse.

Fourthly, the only damn reason you're defending them is because you're friends with so many of them. Yes, you're right that emoness has become a stereotype and a caricature to the extent at which it's no longer funny, and that it's not even true anymore. However, your rant constantly implies that they're therefore tolerable people, which simply isn't true to any extent. Sure, a select few of them are pleasant to maybe talk to, but the fact is, the reason they're stereotyped is because being an emo pretty much encompasses being a whiny, pseudo intellectual and generally intolerable arsebag. I have never really met an emo who didn't fit into this category having known them for more than a few hours. The fact is, the music they listen to is total shit, and in general, having a shit taste in music is a result of being a generally shit person.

Fifthly, I don't even think it was a great rant. You had an okay idea, but it's pretty much just an unstructured streaming of consciousness. It wasn't that well written.

No one will ever admit to being an emo even the people who dress like them hardcore. Youll go up to them and say you fucking emo and thell be like im not emo. And then they will rant about how steriotypes and rasiscm and how the world is unfair while they wont admit there emo. So technically outside no one is an emo.

Emos are people that feel hated by everyone, usually felling numb. They listen to Limp Bizkit, ICP, Linkin' Park and they hate the world. So, officially, most of you may not notice but looks proving to me is that most people on Newgrounds tend to turn any user into an emo just for fun because they insult them, and the emo has seen groups of people turning their back on the emo.
