Finnaly played World of Warcraft

Im on the ten day trial. I chose Night elf hunter as my character.
Its alot harder then I thought it would be. Took me like 4 hours to get to level 4.
Even though I just started it today I can see you have to put alot of hours into it to get good.
Even though alot of people said dont get the trial because you will want to get the game I still got it and dont feel that addicted to it yet. Its kinda fun but a struggle at the moment trying to get around without being killed or getting my items broken. It looks like alot of fun to be in a guild; Ive seen some people traveling in groups which looks cool, I think thats where alot of the addiction might come in.
Im glad Ive played it now because Ive been wondering for ages what it was like to play.
What do you think, could I become addicted in 10 days? Is that enough time to get the most out of WoW?

Well, it's just that the typical stereotype for "new players" (namely, younger kids) is that they will start/choose a Night Elf Hunter. This is just a stereotype, and many (if not most) Night Elf hunters aren't kids.. Yet, there's still a stigma attached to the Night Elf Hunter.

Say, if I went to the World of Warcraft forums and posted, "Hey I'm thirteen, I'm in middle school. What race/class should I be?" I'd estimate about 1 out of 3 responses would be, "Night Elf Hunter." The rest would be "Undead Rogue" or "Stay off WoW".

But good luck in WoW, choose whatever the hell race you want. I played to 60 and quit, if you ever get there, you'll see why.

If I got the game a few years back Id have the time to play to level 60 and spend all the time I want on the game. But now Im preparing for university so I dont think I want to waste time on games much. I just had to play it though, but didnt want to buy it, all these posts on the forums about WoW and the news all over the web about the serious addictions made me very curious about it. Some people are more susceptible to addiction than others. I have a level 39 human mage and don't play often. Last time I played was... hum... 2 to 3 weeks ago, for 1 to 2 hours only. At least I don't have to pay for the game.

Well...did you actually do any quests? Because 4 hours is way too long to spend for that little amount of expirence. Also, it's very much stereotyped that everybody's first character is a hunter just to let you know (My first ever was a shaman but my first semi-successful char was a hunter).

There's also the fact that on some servers night elfs make up at least half of all alliance players. there's more elfs in the human land by far compared to humans. And once again, alot of them are either shadow priests or hunters. Feathermoon needs people to mix up the races a bit...

There are currently 1,856,465 Night elf hunters and counting. Along with undead rogues, they are one of the most, if not THE most unoriginal class ever. You'll see as you level.

Normally it doesn't take that long to level, just make sure to keep picking up quests, really regardless of where you are in the game. Quests will always be a big boost to exp or at least a way to burn time until you figure out how the PVP system (Battlegrounds) works.

Meh i don't think WoW is really that great, I've been playing for like 8 months and i never really got into it, i never even bothered getting a char to 60. I dunno maybe i have a short attention span or maybe WoW isn't as good as they say . Who knows....
