"Cals College in IJsselstein has prohibited two of it's students to have Dutch flags on their bags.

The 16 year old boy and his friend where told by the director of their school that they "urgently should consider" to remove the Dutch flags from their bags, it could provoke other students, mainly Moroccan students. The two considered the urgent request of the school as a prohibition.

But now biggest Dutch newspaper the Telegraaf made the story public and many Dutch are angry. Several parents of other students on the school have contacted the newspaper and say they are not surprised about what the school did, they think the school is afraid. One of the parents of the two boys thinks the same. "My son had trouble with some of these boys, but now he thinks the school blames him".

But the management of the school denies to have acted out of fear. They say they have merely acted with the security of the students in mind. They also deny the prohibition. "We wanted to start the dialog to make clear that we did not think the flag's where a good idea. That's all, he could decide him self" director Rooijen said.

Parliamentary members reacted surprised. Socialist (PvdA) and conservative Geert Wilders (independent) are going to ask the minister (CDA) questions. Wilders: "The use of out flag can not be prohibited". But the two government parties do not think so, they argue it is a matter between the school and the students.

As a result the school was on the evening news and interviews where taken in front of the school. The school has now send a letter to all the parents. In the letter they write that they try to prevent problems between students and that they do not prohibit the flag unless it is meant to hurt others peoples feelings. They say that they are proud on the students and teachers who together work on a good atmosphere and safe environment.

In a radio interview, one of the boys was asked if he was a racist. He denied and told the reporter that his mother was black. When he was asked about the incident that lead to the prohibition he explained that he had some verbal exchange with a Moroccan boy during competition swimming. As a result a group Moroccan then threatened him on school. At that moment the boy went to the school director."

and people say europe is in no danger of become an islamic theocracy...

What is wrong with the self-hating western world, huge numbers of almost exclusively muslim migrants enter european nations every year and proceed to reproduce at terrifying rates. At the same time the average european native female only has 1.5 children in her lifetime. The replacement rate is 2.4(leaving room for those who die prematurely, or choose not to/ can't have children)

This all adds up to the native european population collapsing at the same time the muslim migrant population is exploding. The lack of diversity in the origins of migrants to europe mean that the new cultural/ethnic group will rapidly come to dominate the vanishing native cultural/ethnic group. It all harkens back to the muslim invasian of India several centuries ago. The more enlightened and tolerant Indian civilization welcomed the muslim conquerers with open arms, only to have their temples destroyed and their people slaughtered if they refused to convert to islam at the point of a sword.

But this is all fine and dandy to the european leadership. Any sacrifice to the god of multi-culturalism is acceptable. Because eradicating a unique cultural-ethnic group and replacing it with a cultural-ethnic group that already exists elsewhere on the planet is apparently a pro-diversity endeavor.

Muslims dominate several regions in europe, in paris a wine-vendor will be harassment, beaten, and have his wares destroyed if he attempts to sell in the muslim-occupied region of town. Believe it or not, muslims do not share the lofty world view of the average westerner. They don't believe in tolerance of other faiths and lifestyles. Displaying the dutch flag in holland is grounds for a beating as far as the muslim minority population is concerned.

What will it take before people begin to resist this madness. You are giving your nations away to an agressive invading force, and making it illegal to protest this fact. If present trends continue, native europeans will be a minority in their own lands by 2090. This kind of voluntary genocide is without precedent anywhere in human history.

If europeans dont begin to favor political parties supporting immigration control and begin to have more children, their future looks very bleak indeed.

In the meantime lets at least stand up for our culture, we're going to HIDE OUR OWN NATIONAL FLAG because it offends some muslim migrants! I have a better idea, if the muslims hate holland so much the can fucking go back to the desert!!!

There's a pretty thick line between tolerance and letting yourself get trampled over. That hiding of the dutch flag is just plain taking advantage of people's tolerance. But dude don't come off as all high and mighty as if every muslim in the world is disrespectful and intolerant, that kind of assumption/accusation is flawed.

Technically, it's up to the school board to decide what they allow on their premises. But if they choose to ban something they must be consistent and ban the display of all flags, the same way France couldn't ban wearing headscarves in schools without banning religious symbols as a whole. If a school really does ban one specific nation's flag then parents should be able to press charges for discrimination.

That being said, this particular article is somewhat of a hoax. The school consistently denied the existence of a full ban, MP Geert Wilders asked the Minister of Education questions about this issue and after further investigation the education ministry confirmed that a ban was absent. The school board, or certain teachers in compliance with the school board, had condemned (not banned) dressing in certain styles of fashion commonly associated with neo-Nazis, while the Telegraaf, one of the more sensationalist newspapers in this country, had blown the issue out of proportion and had focused solely on the flags that some teenagers had sewn to their clothing. The Minister, in all her discretion, called a ban on flags "not preferable". I can source this but I guess you'll have to take my word for the translation.

I agree with the majority of your post. Yes, it shouldn't be welcomed with open arms, but when you say they will be the minority in 2090, that's just a statistical manipulation if anything.

Sort of like the United States acting like in a few years Mexicans will be the overwhelming minority.

Maybe you should read the Koran. It's not being an idiot by stereotyping the people of a religion based on the TEACHINGS of their religion. Not all Muslims are like that, but the ones who interpret their religion literally are told to kill infidels at every opportunity. I especially liked the verse of the Koran that tells all believers to not make friends with jews or Christians because "they are only friends with one another". I also like the verse that tells Muslims to behead any Jew or Christian male if he moves into your neighborgood, then to take the females of their families as a 'gift from allah'.

Talk about tolerance.

Um, are you unaware of the statistics? Do you not realize that 2-4 million illegal immigrants cross our border every year? That there are already estimated between 11-20 million already here? That they reproduce faster than any other segment of society in this country? It is a fact that if we don't do anything, illegal immigrants will be the majority within 30 years. Isn't that interesting, there will be more ILLEGAL immigrants than their will be law-abiding, legal US citizensm, not counting all the children of illegal immigrants who automatically become citizens by being born here.!!!

Political correctness has been completely misinterpereted by so many people. All PC is supposed to be is a code of conduct to be followed in one's actions, and a outward code of conduct to make sure that opportunities remained equal. It was never meant to be a bludgeon on the freedom of speech.

I can definitely see why they want this type of ban, but there is no reason to do this. Going way the hell out of your way to avoid a danger that is 99.9999999999999% likely to NOT happen is stupid and wasteful. That's probably why Americans lvoe to do that so much.

Its my belief that all political correctness is just racism. Every person in the world SHOULD be equal when they are born, wether black, white, yellow, brown, red or striped, or Christian, Jewish, Pagan, Muslim, Taoist, etc, and let that equality change by the choices they make and the beliefs they have.

Political Correctness is just as bad as outright racism because you want to appeal to one crowd of people, maybe try to make up for a past wrong (which has already been apologized for), and it further instigates the idea that people are truly different because of what they look like or what Gods they worship. Political Correctness, Affirmative Action, Hate Crimes, they all just set apart people. Did anybody in the US even see what the PSAT said last week?

Do you really think, that a muslim minority of 3% of the entire population can outnumber the other 97%?
Let's do some math shall we?
97% of 15.892 million = 15.415 million
leaving about half a million to be muslim.

The ammount of Arabic/Turkish immigrants is still shrinking, we don't longer need the guestworkers.
And Followupmigration is already reducing.

And the turkish/maroccan youth is really creating it's own sub-culture now. In their attempt to copy the hip-hop culture.(which i as a proud metalhead despise)
Most of them are turning atheist now, and soon they will become secularists just like the rest of us!
