Death and war are attributable to religion. Not ALL death and war of course, but religion has definitely caused death and war at various points. The entire concept of martyrdom is right off the bat responsible for some death, as well as religions that mandate death for certain offences.

War is an easy one, basically any incarnation of the "crusade" concept in any religion that has ever been put into action (e.g. the crusades) is war that is attributable to religion.
