New York City
several thousand protestors in New York City are flooding the streets.. they are protesting the war effort in Iraq right now.
but here's a good one. FOXnews was on site trying to interview people when they came to a young lady maybe in her early twenties.
FOXnews: so you're against the war in Iraq?
young lady: yep.
FOXnews: so you don't believe that this war is necessary?
young lady: yep.
FOXnews: what do you think should have been done?
young lady: *sigh*
next interviewee...
just goes to show you what's giong on with these protestors. don't even know what they are protesting.

she may just not know what is to be done, she doesn't have to have careful diplomatic plans drawn out.

Yes, but she can at least have a well thought out opinion.

Maybe she was too stoned to think straight. Damn hippies.
More likely though: hard-to-the-right FOX News shows just the bad interviews.

Of course it is possible to find some protestors that don't know jack shit, just as there are pro-war supporters that don't know anything.
If anyone tried to rouse up a pro-war rally, I'm sure there wouldn't be a 100th of protestors in rallies in February.

Nevertheless, the majority of the USA(64%) supports the war, and it's not other countries' place to disagree.

And what poll was that based off of, Nem?
As for the anti-war crowd... it does little good to protest now. Not like Bush is gonna go "Whoa... what was I thinking? Call off the airstrikes, Gen Myers...".
If you're anti-war, all you can do now is hope more Iraqi soldiers keep surrendering

they can if they want to. however, it is in their best interests to agree with us. just look at france, morons, but they're on the security counsil. why? they were on the right side of ww2.

completely understndable. they've had months, even more than a year, to see the facts as they are.

Swayside is right, maybe I should have been a little more specific.
Provide a link, I'm really interested in reading the poll stats.

You're the one who questioned me.
Bottom line: despite what hippies think, the war is not only popular, but is going along the path to a decisive victory.

The point of questioning your sources is that you just toss them out. And without any proof, who is to say that you aren't just making them up?
I don't believe any of 'the hippies' would think that war is not going down the path to a decisive victory. That's a rather childish thing to assume, considering the power of the US military vs that of Iraq's.
And the fact that people protest this war all over the world, including here in the us is enough to debate the popularity of it.

::tips hat and claps hands:: thank you for agreeing, i'd hate to have an argument that several thousand(mostly ignorant) people represent the successful body of america
