I don't like replying to ignorant by-passers who don't know what they are talking about. Read the whole thread before you post and then I might listen to what you have to say. Furthermore, if you have less than 20 posts in the audio forum then you're in no position to be posting in this thread, or telling me what to do regarding the threads in this forum. So don't come in here pretending like you know something, you're only making a fool of yourself.

Well man your taking a risk to say the least if u look back in my forum posts u can see many an offense, to the local audio forum regs. The more i attacked and spoke my mind the less respect i had as an artist. I hole heartedly agree with u but next time i might take a morwe subtle approach out of fear of getting flamed. I have a pretty rough history with this forum too, I only left the three times I did because I got in big disputes with Erkie and all hell let lose. He's not someone you wanna argue with and come out unscathed :P

I love arguing with erkie. :D A person of logic and big words versus a guy with a maniac self belief in that he's correct and stupid flamery. Always a good laugh, ISNT IT ERKIE?!!?!?!?!

I don't see Erkie flame that much...

People complaining about newbs is getting a bit tiresome, it's all fun and games slating them everytime they ask silly questions, but you have to bear in mind that we were all on once like that. For example, when you're learning to drive, when you stall or something the first time you try to start the car, the driving instructor doesn't turn around and shout "AHHHH NOOOOB!!!!" at you, it's just bad manners.

Only a handful of people on NG are actually professionals (although alot more like the think they are), so we're all amateurs here in a way. DEAL WITH IT OK? Stop complaining, just try to see things from a different perspective, this kinda thing isn't allowed on the other forums. People get banned for complaining at noobs. Thats why the mods are having a go at the AP regs, show some iniative people. Try and help, we don't wanna scare people off the BBS forever. In time these "noobs" might become helpful productive members of our community.

Im with you on this one LHW, the only time it really pisses me off is when a 'noob' doesn't take the advice that is given to them and starts flaming, they deserve all they get then. even spamwarrior has calmed down to a certain extent and will help out people new to audio as long as they have a decent question. i think we have already changed for the good, but improvements can still be made. at the end of the day if we actually helped every single person out who ws new to audio, introduced them to certain things and gave them a totally warm and welcome reception we would probably have a more significant, larger community.

Yeh it is annoying when someone does phrase a question in words you can't understand like "wht iz da ting that covrots the mp2s?" But it just annoys me when people genuinely wants help and someone throws it in their face. Though I do agree most of us are getting better.

Well, i was pretty well welcomed when i first came here. But that's because my first post was about stolen audio. The regs just told me i had to flag the audio and don't even bothered to inspect the matter. At that moment, i was wondering if the fact that i was new that they didn't (seem to) listen to me.

Later, another thread was made about the same stolen audio, but by a regular. And this time, everyone inspected the matter and flagged the audio.

And now, if i make a topic about a stolen audio, most of the guys here will listen to me and inspect the matter.

What i mean is, that if we scare a newbie, we will perhaps "kill in the egg" an audio regular who could be helpful.

However, since the latest modding period, it seems that the regs are more willing to help the newbies, by giving them links and advices. And it seems that more newbies are coming in here.

So what if some of them act like complete noobs and annoy the fuck at of the "not" noobs, that's their choice and they will be hated for it later till they grow up a bit and appologize eventually if they do. Noobs are not going to stop posting random shit like that and they aren't always noobs anyways, I don't see anyone in here bitching about ParagonX9's random bullshit posts completely unrelated to audio and what would belong in the Audio Forum Lounge or General forum. Basically it's not only noobs, it's people in general. Just let it go and ignore it, and if you want them to know it's annoying just pm them rather than make a fucking thread bashing noobs.

As for people helping noobs out and listening to them - noobs are a dime a dozen.. if you wanna get noticed by us make a good inpression and perhaps we'll give you some notice - otherwise we'l;l just treat you like the other 10 noobs that come here daily and then never come back.

as for erkie - he's like a hydra.. he'll bite off your head and if you try to take his off two more will grow - you have to cut him off quickly and efficiently at the base before he can attack :P
