Japanese (romaji) translation? 2006-10-13 00:13:34 Reply

I have searched everywhere for something that can translate japanese romaji. Babelfish doesn't work. Japanese to English dictionaries don't seem to work very well either.

Does anyone here know any way I could translate the romaji lyrics to a song?

Or is there a random Japanese man here?

Here are the lyrics in Romaji:

------------------------------------------
-------

Sure chigatta sono gosa ni kitte hatte
Mujouni tataki watta sono wake wo tsunezune sagashiteru

Zureshi matta sono asa ni hisshi ni natte
Mujouni hiki chigitta junkan wo kuyan de naiteru dake

Kokoro ni hibikamenu kotoba
Boku dake mou imi wo ushinau dake

Kowashite yo

Ureiuharu, mebukanu mama ni
Sekai to tsunagu no wo yo shite shimau
Fusagaru tedate
Yureru hari susumanu mama ni
Dareka hirou no wo, soshite tsunagu no wo mattenda

Kokoro ni hibikamenu kotoba
Boku dake mou imi wo ushinau dake

Hibikedo todokanu kotoba
Kimi datte mou boku wo wasureru dake

Kowashite yo
Omoidashite yo
Kabekowashite yo
Omoidashite yo

------------------------------------------
------

Thanks for any help I may get. (Hopefully I won't be spanked)

this is a poem, and theres no way u can translate this into proper english even if this was written in kanji cuz meanings change too much for this one. whoever wrote this is pretty smart. the gist of this poem th s of someone talking of how they are sad that someone they loved left and that eventually theyll forget, but the seaker wants them to remeber, to recall, the times they spent toghether. ill try translating line to line buh i kno it wont be perfect.

Sure chigatta sono gosa ni kitte hatte
[upon the sleeves with which weve passed by]
Mujouni tataki watta sono wake wo tsunezune sagashiteru
[im still looking endlessly for the reason i tore open from you]

Zureshi matta sono asa ni hisshi ni natte
[desperately chasing after the setting sun]
Mujouni hiki chigitta junkan wo kuyan de naiteru dake
[just crying with hopelessness at the torn "junkan"<--dont know what this means!]

Kokoro ni hibikamenu kotoba
[the words that still rings in my heart]
Boku dake mou imi wo ushinau dake
[i am the only one to lose its meaning]

Kowashite yo
[break me]

Ureiuharu, mebukanu mama ni
[in the wet days of spring, i still do not bud(plant simile here)]
Sekai to tsunagu no wo yo shite shimau
[i avoid connecting with the outside world]
Fusagaru tedate
[the closing paths]
Yureru hari susumanu mama ni
[the waving hand, never moving forward(clock simile)]
Dareka hirou no wo, soshite tsunagu no wo mattenda
[just waiting until someone picks it up, connect me]

Kokoro ni hibikamenu kotoba
[the words that still rings in my heart]
Boku dake mou imi wo ushinau dake
[i am the only one to lose its meaning]

Hibikedo todokanu kotoba
[daily but never reaching words]
Kimi datte mou boku wo wasureru dake
[because all youll do is just forget me]

Kowashite yo
[break me]
Omoidashite yo
[remember me]
Kowashite yo
[break me]
Omoidashite yo
[remember me]

i think i got it pretty close. i hope i was of some help. next time, i say go to allexperts.com

Thanks so much dude. You really know your stuff.

I'm surprised by the lyrics though, because it is a song by Asian Kung-Fu Generation called "Jihei Tansaku" and it seems like a pretty happy song in Japanese.

Thanks, I needed to know the general meaning :)

Here's all you need to know about any japanese song EVER

kaze= wind
namida= tears (as in boo-hoo, not as in rips)
kage= shadow
kokoro= heart

That ought to see you through about 90%

And I being of the same nationality can tell you that Japanese music sucks, and really does consist of those 4 main words.

I, not being japanese but having studied it for two years and hosted japanese exchange students many times, know for a FACT that 90% of japanese music contains at least two of those four words and usually three.

Having translated several songs many years ago I found them tediously repetitive in this fashion. Also the use of engrish hurt my head. It took me two weeks to figure out that "kurakushaon" was supposed to be "klaxon", a word that no one outside the friggin NAVY is likely to ever use in ANY context.
