I did enjoy Trigun, but it is not my favorite.

Also wolfwood is the coolest character from that show. Just saying

You might love the manga, Wolfwood was more badass in the manga and actually had a much more manlier death unlike the anime where he gets shot because he held back.

Also, Legato was gay in the manga and follows Knives for saving him, leading to a crush. In the ending, Knives turns himself into a tree.

You might love the manga, let me tell how you it ends just to make sure. :D

Someone told me once that the manga's story is more 'complete' and expands more on the setting and characters, but the anime's story is more philosophically endearing.

Hey, what do you guys think about those side-mouths in animes?... I mean, why do they draw them that way? It really annoys me somehow. Sometimes I'm so pissed, I just need to pause my anime session and drink coffee to calm my rage.

Example included -.-

Man I love the manga, I'm still collecting the maximum seris cause there were quite a few of those. I really want trigun multiple bullets though. My favorite line from it is when Meryl and Millie are looking for vash and instead find a cat, Millie's respon...... He turned himself into a cat!

It doesn't enrage me but theres been a few times where it throws me off for a moment. Like it takes my brain a few seconds to work out how it's meant to percieve what I'm looking at, kind of like a perspecive illusion I guess. I probably don't even notice it for the most part.

I have been rereading the early chapters of "Skip Beat" and started to wonder something about Kyoko. Do you think that she might have been one of the ghosts from "Grudge" who somehow receive an amnesia and was adopted by a normal family to be raised as a human?

In a way it could explain why her dad have been missing and her mom generally treats her like crap in the flashback before eventually abandoning her.

Plus, she also has dark aura and happens to be surrounded by demons whenever she gets angry, not to mention the voodoo dolls she made and sometimes talks to. Even befriended a little girl named Maria who seems to have an interest in the occult for some reason...

I'm currently watching Armored Trooper VOTOMS for the first time. I'm 16 episodes in, just starting the second story arc, and it's pretty cool so far. I don't quite love it as much as a lot of people seem to, but apparently the first arc is the weakest so hopefully I'll get more invested as this story progresses.

I just finished watching Guilty Crown and I would like to hear what you guys think of it, if anyone here has seen it.

I know for a fact that Guilty Crown has received tons of negative comments. A lot of people hated the ending. Personally, I was fine with the ending, but not the fact that the MC had to live on as a blind man. Also, the last episode felt really rushed. Furthermore, the story became almost laughable towards the end. Though, I really liked the openings. The soundtracks that they used were amazing.

So what are your opinions on the anime? Did you like the story or the characters? Did you think the whole series was a major let down? Also, which character, in your opinion, should've survived to the end?

Highschool Of The Dead is on Netflix so I watched a few episodes last night, I'd forgotten how ridiculous the fanservice is.

First season of Psycho-Pass is also on there, if you haven't seen it check it out. Just think Ghost In The Shell but waaaay darker.

Just wondering, is anyone here reading Tokyo Ghoul?

I thought about watching the anime, but almost everything is heavily censored, so I decided to read the manga instead.

Honestly, the censorship is more disturbing than what it censors. There were some scenes where they censored the entire screen by inverting all the colors and making the blood blue. I understand why a lot of people dropped the anime.

IIRC, Tokyo Ghoul was censored because it was aired on TV, which pretty much censors all of the gory messes. That said though, there was no real reason why it should've been censored from a pure aesthetic standpoint. The DVD/Blu-Rays are supposed to be uncensored, and the airing of the series was meant to be advertising. Shows like this that are popular but have objectionable content are usually reserved for late-night airings on Japanese TV, they rely on DVD sales {among others} to get their money back on a project.

As for Guilty Crown, I've already talked about it in my newsfeed before on the high caliber presentation and music, but the characters and scriptwriting essentially dragged down the series. Considering that a lot of the same folks that made Code Geass was involved in the project, I was pretty disappointed in the spiritual successor to CG. Unlike CG, it just took itself way too seriously for it's own good, particularly when Funeral Parlor and GHQ are both equal parts psychotic and retarded at times.

It also doesn't help that it led to a massive hatedom toward some of the seiyuus as well, especially the guy who voiced Shu. The guy is still popular among the anime industry but he also became a base breaker to the point that the hate even spilled to his other characters he would voice such as Issei and Eren.

I know I've said this already, but I'll say it again: censorship is more disturbing than what it censors.

As disturbing as gore and nudity might be, it's still no where near as disturbing as the censorship itself. The censorship bothers me more.
