Rules question. Back in the day we weren't allowed to talk about online streaming. Is this still in effect? seeing as how explosive the emergence of legitimate streaming service has been over the last 5 years? Hell Funimation and crunchy roll have apps on gaming consoles these days.

I gave Parasyte a chance, but I do not like it. Did anybody enjoy it?

Found myself watching DBZ Kai for some reason and I've actually been really enjoying it. Never seen any DB/DBZ before but I had a rough idea of what it was about and decided I'd give it a shot. It has managed to get me interested in checking out some anime again. Still only on the second season of this though.

Started watching the occasional episode of Cowboy Bebop ages ago and now only have a few episodes left. Been really enjoying that one too, but I'm still leaning more towards DBZ whenever I'm in the mood for watching something.

Also have the Gurren Lagann blu-rays sitting waiting to be watched. Got this on a recommendation and because I managed to find it super cheap. Going into this one blind for the most part, but looking forward to it. Not sure when I'll get started on this one though.

I stopped after the second episode. I just couldn't stand the censorship. This is the same reason why I never watched Tokyo Ghoul. The anime is heavily censored. I just read the manga.

It can be frustrating when a good anime only has a few episodes.

Agree. Not any I can think of off the top of my head, but I've encountered a few.... Wait Hellsing was way to good for 13 episodes. Pissed off I haven't seen my box set in like 7 years.

I remembered the names of 2 26 episode anime I used to watch on IFC. Speed Chronographer which was very good, and Hell Girl which I found way too repetitive.

caught up and finished prison school today, it felt like they rushed that final hana and kiyoshi scene way too fast compared to the manga... could of used some suspenseful pauses here and there to give the viewer a firmer grasp on how ridiculous it all was

overall the adaptation could've been better or could've been worse. looking forward to one punch man and that new gundam now

Toonami just added Parasyte to their line-up last week. It looks like we're going to be stuck with it for a while.
Also, Toonami finally removed Attack on Titan. Am I the only one who thinks watching it once was enough?

I read the Parasyte manga and I loved it. I'm going to see about the anime on Toonami. And yeah one time was enough for Attack on titan. They're replaying Gurren Lagann and Kill la kill too.

Inuyasha. I enjoyed it for a while, but there's a limit. did they ever end this? it was in the 300s episode count last I paid attention.

Eh, I tend to be alright with an anime ending at 13 episodes or whenever it ends, at least the ones I particularly enjoyed. Seems they often just know when to wrap it up. As for Hellsing, I haven't watched the older series once since Ultimate came out. Ought to get around to rewatching the first 8 Ultimates and then finally seeing the last two, which I've had for 10 months. October seems the right time to do it, too. And yeah, Attack on Titan was just okay. Didn't check out Parasyte.

Yes, there was a proper ending - InuYasha: the Final Act. Some characters are killed off and all loose ends are tied up over the course of 26 episodes.

I did like how how the ended it. More Anime should handle endings like they did.

I respect any anime that isn't afraid to kill off a main character. That's something you don't see very often.

Something which Akame ga Kill has a lot of, and Fairy Tail has none of.

Yeah, it's not like in Fairy Tail where it's 100% certain that the main characters will always survive, because they possess the power of friendship. Honestly, the friendship power-ups in Fairy Tail is one of the poorest and laziest writing I've ever seen in anime/manga.

^ Exactly why i don't like Fairy Tail.

I used to like Fairy Tail, but I got tired of it after the main characters kept getting back up from near-defeat by using friendship power-ups.

What's your favourite Kyoto Animation anime? I haven't gone all the way down the list yet, but I think it's a tossup between Hyouka and Nichijou right now.

The only Kyoto Animation anime that I've seen is Clannad (including After Story) and Sound! Euphonium.

Worked until 1030pm so it's a gaming night tonight. Anyone have a recommendation for something on either Netflix or Hulu? I'd like dubbed, but I can definitely live with subbed. Otherwise I'm going to be watching Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood.

I liked Watamote. Unfortunately, there isn't really any character development in what they chose to adapt from the manga, and the BDs sold pretty badly so we're not likely to see a second season, so I would reccommend reading the manga.

On Toonami I only watch Akame Ga Kill, and I watched the 2nd episode of Parasyte yesterday. It's not that bad I just need to see the rest. Sometimes I watch Dragon Ball Z Kai, but not as much since I've seen the original Dragon Ball Z.
