I dare you.

Anything in particular you're looking for?

For something more recent, I recommend Chihayafuru (which I'm behind by a few episodes as usual). If you're alright with older stuff, check out Tekkaman Blade.

Yeah, it is kinda predictable, but it's still an amazing show.

It'd help if I elaborated a little

TB: The alien invasion might first seem generic, but it's handled in a original way later on. The writing and characters are top-notch, and the epiphany that hits you at the end really gets to you.

Misc.:
--Tekkamen designs are great
--OP/ED, as well as all of the BGM, are good

For your own sake, don't watch the sequel OVA if you decide to watch it.

Chihayafuru: story of friendship told through karuta. I swear it's more interesting than I make it out to be.

I snagged Kemonozume.
So far it's pretty meh. Seems cliche if you catch my drift.
Seems like it'll get better soon, though.

Since none of you came up with any good suggestions for me, I went a re-watched Trigun. Yes, I'm aware of the differences between the show and the manga, I have read the manga. This does not stop the show from being awesome.

cool story bro

Picked up turn a gundam. Really good series so far, the setting and atmosphere for the first couple of episodes are great, but I still can't get over the MC's character design.

The only redeeming points of that show was the classroom dance scene, delicious rei clone and class rep.

The Final Destination has already hit me. Comparing the deaths to Higurashi.....Higurashi still wins no matter what. Though, I've seen some pretty nice deaths in the show overall so far.

I kinda want to watch Another. Not because it sounds interesting. The cover for the novel just looks sexy. A pretty cool panel for the artist that drew that in 100 Masters of Bishojo Painting. Can't recall the persons name though.

Lets see I'm currently working on Sgt. Frog and just started watching Astroboy considering I'm a huge fan of Megaman. Ah lets see...Highschool of the Dead is almost done and despite being a walking fanservice it was kind of fun. Samurai Champloo I also started and kind of like the premise going on.

And uh yeah that's about all I could think of. While I'm here are there any other good anime on Netflix these days?

I finished the second season of Darker Than Black. What a lame ending. Why is it so often that a great anime has a shit ending?

Also, I finally got to see Redline, which was awesome.

I'm assuming it's a light novel.

I liked Hotd(anime) so much I ended up hating it cause of the shear amount of fanservice. Yeah, sure I was going hysterical over the fact that tits were dodging bullets but...that's not the point. The fanservice was emphasize so much.
Samurai Champloo is an art among itself. I would like to hear your overall thoughts once you finish the show.

So, is that the main reason so many people hate HotD? the fanservice? Or is it the mindlessness and lack of a decent plot? I still enjoyed all the zombie killing.

Hm. I didn't mind the fan service presented in the manga, but in the anime it seem like they were trying to hard. Wasn't even aware there was a plot...well aside the whole people are tryin to survive in a sudden zombie outbreak.
I say the first what 3, 4 episodes are pretty decent especially when bringing out the setting and atmosphere...yeah it just might be the lack of plot mixed with never ending waves of fanservice practically used as fillers

I still enjoyed all the zombie killing.

Me too buddy.

Alright guys, I'm coming to you for suggestions.

I'm in the mood for a nice light-hearted anime to watch. Not exactly anything MOEMOEMOE SO KAWAII, but still nothing that's DARK LIKE MY SOUL either. Just a nice series that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Chihayafuru
Kaleido Star

If you're alright with a longer series (52 episodes, including the first OVA), go with the latter. Otherwise, Chihaya (still ongoing, but only has three episodes left) is the best for you.
