Well, if you like mecha, then give the Gundam franchise a try. It's old as hell, but try watching the original 1979 Gundam series(Simply titled: Mobile Suit Gundam). If you like that series, then continue on Zeta Gundam, those are excellent animes. If you like Bebop, then give Samurai Champloo a watch if you haven't seen it, it's made by the same director, so I think you'll dig it.

Not really sure on FLCL as it's kind of everywhere. But if you want Comedy, then School Rumble was pretty great fun when I was watching it. Also, if you want another good mecha series, then watch patlabor, great stuff.

If you liked FLCL then I would suggest watching Gurren Lagann since it has that same craziness that FLCL had.

You like mahou shoujo?
All the titles I recommend are in tat category,
Everything else IMHO is just plotless violence or ill-timed moe jokes.

Elfen Lied? Oh boy where do I begin. It's shit. It's one of the most god awful pieces of turd that has been shot out of the ass of Japan. Don't watch it as it's one of the worst piece of crap ever. That's saying alot considering I watched Manos: The Hands of Fate. That's more enjoyable then Elfen Lied.

Cromartie High is a good comedy that you should check out. Lupin III is another one as well. You 'might' like Monster but that's a long shot. Lastly, Mushishi is a really relaxing series which would probably suck you right in and get you back into anime for sure.

Some people might think this is ironic because of the misspelling of "grammar", but since this is a spelling error and the subject is grammar, it technically isn't ironic.

Never watched Fate Stay, looks ok. It's called Tsukihime by the way, not that random garbled madness.

I FUCKING AGREE! im not the type to leave in one ep but my god it is one of the dumbest shit i ever seen, and the danm opening was hell. the show was nudity for no reason, and the fighting was to crazy. the insanisty was fun. either way it was way to over-rated.

Oh how I love Mystery Science Theater 3000. Moving on, Queen's Blade. Yeah if you've heard of this show you're going to look at me with an expession that just says "pervert." Seriously. It's a godawful show with a godawful premise that shows lots of extremely busty women wearing the worst fucking outfits ever for combat. Basically it's the biggest load of fanservice shit I have ever watched... and I still am not done watching. Ugh, I feint hope that it will improve a bit but it will still suck balls.

Desert Punk was awesome, but I didn't like the end. I just got all 3 Violence Jack OVAs today (on one DVD). It's the uncut version. I just watched a little bit of Evil Town, which was the only one I've seen before. Just skimming through I already noticed a big difference, such beheading children and censored hardcore boning. lolwut.

I just got a chance to watch the first episode of Ergo Proxy it was good. I haven't got a chance to watch much anime lately but I have been keeping up with bakemonogatari and bleach. Bleach is fillers and Bakemonogatari is some little girl that was cursed and has snakes that are killing her. What you guys been watching lately?

Well, I'm really catching up nowadays, since I'm slow as hell when it comes to watching anime. Right now I'm watching Fight Ippatsu Juuden-Chan, Hayate and Hidamari Sketch, and I'll probably finish up a few series I didn't completely watch after that.

I was hoping for a recommendation. I'm a huge fan of Afro Samurai, Samurai Champloo, One Piece, Cowboy Bebop and Avatar. A lot of anime that i've tried to get into just doesn't cut it for me, and im not really sure why.

Avatar the Last Airbender. I feel like its more of a kids show but it entertains me and doesn't leave me confused like a lot of anime i've tried watching.

Avatar isn't actually an anime, it's an american cartoon - And yes, it is for kids. (Although I know other teenagers who watch it)

In my opinion the show's concept is very flat and unoriginal, but the show itself makes it work. I liked the series.

I couldn't agree more. I just couldn't keep watching past episode 20 or so.

It's cool how you guys named some of my other favorite anime just from my top three :)
I loved Mushishi, Gurren Laggan (until it got lame) and Samurai Champloo. Guess i forgot to mention them. Ergo Proxy was incredible as well, although i had the same problem as TTGL; after about episode 27 it just changed too much and i lost interest.
I'll give Cromartie High a chance, byt as for Lupin III, i watched a couple episodes and just wasn't interested enough to continue. To be fair though, I almost stopped watching Cowboy Bebop after the first episode, and boy would that have been a mistake :P
Is it the same thing with Lupin?

If you're into more action based animes then I would suggest watching Black Lagoon and Hellsing. You might also like FLCL and Gurren Lagann, but I would suggest watching my first two suggestions before checking these ones out.

Watched Afro Samurai, rewatched both Samurai Shamploo and Shaman King. And playing to watch GaoGaiGar and G-Gundam.

I need some Super Giant Robo anime, or something with good comedy...

Majority of the series was worth watching, but it got a little crappy around the end. Either way, I didn't like it is much as most people did. I still haven't even watched the OVA's yet, so I can't really give an opinion on them.

They've got all of the good parts of the series in them, only those parts are done better and more stylish, so there's no reason to watch the series.

In addition, they've got the great parts of the manga that were left out of the series.

The Black Jack OVAs need better pacing.

Each episode feels like it could be half as long.
