Sorry, that slipped my mind. No need to be an asshole about it.
Anyways, I'm really up in the air about watching DTB season 2, and judging by what people are saying, it's roughly 50/50 either loving or hating it. I'm usually not big on sequals, only because a lot of them tend to be really disappointing compared to the first season. {Haruhi comes to mind.} Also, I'm now going to give Steins; Gate a go, probably a good time to start considering a lot of my friends keep recommending it.
Just stop worrying, and love the bomb.
Just started watching Gunslinger Girl. Gotta say, it's the best anime I've watched in a long time.
NEW SONG AT THE MOMENT!!!: Alice Gone Killed the Muffin Man
Psil0 ON SOUNDCLOUD!!!
The dub for Fist of the North Star sucks. Just watch it subtitled.
The new Thundercats is awesome. Has anybody else been watching it?
I got Trigun and Blue Gender on DVD for my birthday. I've been rewatching Blue Gender.
Watched Dead Leaves. It was rather disappointing. It made me giggle a few times and that the only positive thing I can say about it. Story line was underdeveloped, and uninteresting; animation was subpar. Some one recommended me this ages ago so I was expecting for it to be at least decent.
Can anyone help me remember the name of this anime for me:
This is a rough description btw, so the things I say might not be actually true so bear that in mind.
This anime had characters that had demon legs/mecha legs or whatever that makes them either physically stronger, run faster, or being able to fly (by using smoke fumes coming out of their legs). I remember seeing it like a long time ago (2003-2004+) and now I'm trying to find it so that I can finish watching it and also for the pure nostalgia value of it. (it aired on TV so I didn't get to finish the anime)
Does anyone have any idea on what the name of this anime is?
Thanks in advance.
It is crazy how much better madVR handles hi10p then the latest coreavc. I was watching the first episode of Kanon in hi10p and it was tearing everywhere to the point where it was unwatchable. I then switched my renderer to madVR, and uninstalled coreavc; now the playback is fucking flawless. Why do people pay money for CoreAVC?

It's Inuyasha, and I don't see why we would permit such a fan of wretched garbage anime like you into my club.
Sorry, get out.
Anyways, I'm BACK YO AND WITH A NEW HIP HOP STYLE BROTHERZ.

No, it's not Inuyasha.

It is, you just gave a bad description of it.

Nope, the main characters were different. They didn't use swords as a weapon only their feet. And If it was Inuyasha then I would recognize since that anime has been around for a long time.
The one I was talking about in the description is completely different. The anime probably only had like 30 episodes or something and it definitely wasn't the same type of genre as Inuyasha.
Yup Penguindrum is continuously putting the other shows this season to shame. It even has a fucking amazing soundtrack.

Everyone keeps raving to me about this show. I plan on watching it once i finish my backlog. BD's should be out by the time i finish Aria, LOGH, Spice and Wolf, Iblard Time, and Kanon. I have a feeling I am going to be extremely disappointed when I do watch it because it's probably average at best but just getting lots of hype.

It's not average at all. It's from the director of Revolutionary Girl Utena and I must say it is living up to expectations.
I've never watched utena but the impression I get is that most people on /a/ haven't seen utena and just say "oh penguindrum is by the utena director so it's great". I don't know jack shit about utena apart from the weighty precedence it carries and there's some lesbian undertones or overtones or regular tones or something. That's pretty much it.
But penguindrum is a thing of beauty. It has, as pat has mentioned, one of the best soundtracks in recent anime, in particular the op and a lil' bit spoilery (episode 9) but absolutely beautiful insert song. Plus it's got a really gripping plot, I still don't really know what's going on but it's kept me hooked and as soon as tiger and bunny finishes (in like 12 hours wtf omg omg etc it'll be the biggest anime on my calendar by quite a margin.
Also I'm reading legend of the strongest man kurosawa on my commute to work, on vol 9 at the moment, really enjoying it. Very dark, black humour, something I don't normally see so much in the anime and manga I watch/read. Thanks to whoever suggested it way back when I asked for manga suggestions.
TBH I dropped T&B after the first episode. I didn't find it gripping at all. It both looks and sounds generic as fuck.
I have been getting really in to music since I bought my Grado's. I fucking love this soundtrack. Everything is so upbeat, nostalgic, and warm. I think I am gonna rewatch FLCL again soon just so I can listen to the music in context. I am also interested on how my opinion of the show has changed over the past couple years.

I disagree. I think Dead Leaves is awesome, and the animation was definitely not subpar. Plus, it's much better than FLCL.
Also, anybody who liked Dead Leaves should watch Aachi wa Ssipak. It's a Korean animated movie with that same psychotic spirit and it's even more hilarious.

For each there own I guess. I would have probably enjoyed it if I was on acid or something. My main complaint with the animation is how little detail there is in everything. You can talk about how it is unique if you want but when it comes down to it it is lazy, cheap animation. There is not much shading at all. It kind of looks like someone played around with the liquify filter on a cheap comic book. As far as the story goes I would have found it kind of interesting if it went in to more depth about how these abilitys where obtained, some history on the prison, some more about what happened before they reawakened. The humor in it isn't really that creative though. I would say it is on par with AFHV, and Ow My Balls humor. You say it is much better then FLCL, please elaborate on how.
how? Well, I find it generally much more entertaining. I think it's funnier, has a cooler style, and it's just very charming.

What a in-depth explanation. For that same reason Mars of Destruction is the best anime of all time. Sure the animation is shit and there is no storyline but I find it very charming.
Faggotry aside, Kaiji season 2 is coming to an end and it's killing me waiting for closure on this thing.

I plan on checking Kaiji out very soon. I have heard many positive things about the show. Once I get roughly 25% through logh and find a good stopping place I am gonna force myself to take a break and choose a different show. It will probably be hard for me to stop watching once I am that far in; I am only at episode 5 now and I am already in love with all the music, and the storyline.Kaji will either be at the 25% mark of LOGH or 50% mark of LOGH for sure. Right now I am trying to decide if I should watch Spice & Wolf or Kaiji first. I haven't really watched much romance/drama recently though so Spice & Wolf sounds a bit more desirable.

Love the manga version of Kaiji
Is there an anime for Akagi? I can't seem to find it or if it even exist.
There are things I do and there are things I want to do. Overall, I just want to live my life and end it the way I want.

There is apparently. I too am interested in watching it.

Yeah, there is one and it's 26 episodes long. It's definitely worth watching.
-Finished Overman King Gainer. I enjoyed every second of it, and the robot designs/concepts are some of the most unique I've seen. King Gainer, Golems, Dominator, Overdevil -- they're all awesome. Happy Tomino is best Tomino, 'nuff said.
-Reading GTO at the moment, and it's fantastic. Greatest cast in a manga ever (except for you, Teshigawara, damn asshole). Bitch tears were shed at Urumi's suicide attempt (the second one shown in the manga, volume 16-17); hell, the whole arc had me at the edge of my seat.
onizukaXurumi OTP forever and ever
The odds are that Azusa will win, but I'm okay with that as well.
