So I've been watching Fate/ Stay Night, on episode...8 or so. And honestly so far it's really not that bad of a series at all. Visuals are nice, dubs pretty expected since I've heard all the VA previously quite a few times. Some of the character designs are subpar and bleh, but eh, not that big of a deal I suppose. Biggest problem I'm having with it though, is Shir%u014D Emiya(The main character). He is incredibly stubborn and stupid, his little pacifist/ I wanna help the world attitude is quite irksome, obviously needs a slap in the face and get back to reality. I was also really worried about the action scenes, i was nervious that they were going to be real typical shonen flash stuff. But it's actually sort of fast pacing and good enough, not Champloo great, but good enough.

But yeah, so far it's really not that bad of a series, I'm thankful this wasn't a poor purchase on my part.

Well, he's said things like that in the anime, he didn't really come off as sexist to me though. He came off as overly naive and annoyingly stuck to the old age philosophy of "BOY MUST PROTECT GIRL AT ALL COST, LET ME FIGHT EVEN THOUGH IT'S OBVIOUS YOU'RE THE ONE WHO'S SUPPOSED TO BE FIGHTING HERE".

So I tried watching Vampire Hunter D, and honestly I thought it was a bad movie. It's got horrible animation and the plot is typical of a Vampire plot. I didn't find it involving in the least bit, nor was it really anything exciting at all, maybe if I saw it when it first came out in the 80's. But nowadays we have Hellsing, which is better because it doesn't take itself nearly as serious as this movie does.

Wasn't my thing, overall.

Funny part was when there was the talk about the history of computers and hypertext, and we'd just gone through that in a course at school.

Does it get less annoyingly abstract after a few episodes? I was recommended it and never really got past the first 2, seemed like a waste of time.

The fanservice is one of the few things that keeps me watching this anime, but I enjoy every minute of it. I'm still waiting to see Wang Liu Mei in that sexy cheongsam she's known for, but images like this can definitely tide me over.

Pretty sure Gendo was talking about ZZ Gundam, AKA Double Zeta. Also, fanservice is a horrible reason to watch anything. I mean, tits are nice but where are the parts where we have character development, interaction, story structure? Nope, just some titties. Though, atleast it keeps your interest. But still, fanservice and moe-shit is no reason to subject yourself through 00. But, couldn't be worse than SEED or X.

Oh ok. Well the anime im into right now is Hellsing, Cowboy bee bop,G gundum,Code geass,Rama 1/2 and Akira. Aswell im a fan of the first season of Death Note but ive seen to many animes to name out all my favorites.

Started watching Phoenix. Beautifully done so far, extremely glad I picked it up.

Going anime/manga shopping to reward how good I've been when my boss was away, so I'm going to be on the lookout for some (anime-wise) Lupin, Grave of the Fireflies, Nausicaa, Maison Ikkoku, and I dunno what else. Any suggestions, guys? Just ones I should keep my eyes out for (don't mention Champloo--it's apparently always sold out whenever i look :( ), and that are either comedy or action ones.

I'm not mentioning Gundam stuff for now--got my eye on a really really really good auction on eBay right now.

Manga-wise, going to try and continue Lupin, Berserk, JJBA, Ikkoku, Nana, and I dunno what else, lol.
