For the longest time I've never actually found a decent site to watch anime, I'm fairly certain there are legal databases of the shows to watch.

For a while, I used to watch anime on Dubhappy, they have generally have the most popular anime, and of course, it is in the English dub. Although I feel kind of conflicted because I thought it was too good to be true and somebody was going to take the site down. There are also anime on Youtube as well, but the pickings there are average at best.

If you looking for subbed, or obscure anime, I would recommend either use Bing, or look on ANN or something like that. That's pretty much all I know.

Well I'm watching Soul Eater on Youtube.

Funimation seems to have uploaded the entire series onto Youtube. I don't know how that makes them money.

LEgal DVD releases of course. Like Rainbow, which just finished airing in Japan a week ago. Would you believe there's a legal DVD release in Finland already?

Hey, sometimes series are licensed before they finish airing in Japan or even before they premiere! Look at Sonic X; it ran just 5 months behind the Japanese schedule (at least in North America).

One of the volumes of Wolf's Rain has been under long wait for quite a while. I've been leaving that one at the top, hoping it'll get sent. If it does, I'll hold onto it, then rent the other volumes.

Man, I'm gonna rewatch Trigun all the way through again and redownload the OST by Tsuneo Imahori. Such a great series, when I get all my mangas back I'm going to re-read all the Trigun Maximum I have.

Also, Yotsuba& is finally being made into an anime, I figured it was inevitable.

Probably from the ad revenue of the commericals on Youtube, generally before, midway and after the anime ends.

I rather buy the DVDs of anime than watch it online, unless I haven't seen it before or I already got the DVD/Box sets. After all, without money from sales and maybe some ad revenue from YT, then there will be no more anime in America and a lot of other places.

I personally try to watch as much as I can on Funimation's streaming site and Crunchyroll, while I continue to save up money to buy some series I really want to see. Namely, Spice and Wolf.

Also, I'm not sure how many of you guys are keeping up with this summer's series, but I am pleasantly pleased with Seitokai Yakuindomo. I honestly can't describe it but, it feels like it's making fun of the cliche "anime about a high-school student and the girls that follow him". It also feels like it's influenced a bit by Haruhi, especially in the main character and the student council president. But, to be honest, I really don't know how well an anime like this can do over the course of 12 episodes...

I remember them on the great foxbox shows with all the other great animes like onepiece, ultimate muscle and fighting food ons, when anime was classic....

Guess what, those shows at the time were dubbed by 4kids, the scourge of anime in general. Of course when we were kids, we didn't give 2 shits because we didn't know any better, but now, when we realized that the original version was far superior to the heavily edited {and butchered} U.S. version, then the 4kids hate began to boil over.

Enough ranting for one day, back to watching Soul Eater.

Ultimate Muscle. That show was something else. never really knew what to think of it. I also never really watched it much, but that was some weird stuff.

All I want to buy right now is the first season of Darker Than Black and the rest of the Evangelion movies when they come out. The only thing that's stopping me from getting Darker Than Black is that it's not available on Bluray yet.

I never thought Bluray would make a big difference for anime, but after watching it, you realise just how much detail is put into the animation. The difference is so significant that I would go as far as saying that I'll never buy another DVD again.

Hey, can I join? I've watched, and am watching, at least 20 animes. You could've watched anything you liked on hulu.com, and animefreak.tv. they are some of the best things for anime, along with gogoanime.com. Im watching one piece on watch-onepiece.com every day in japanese. pure awesome.

Can you list some favourites?

I saw the Ergo Proxy DVD's at the store the other day, but they'd cost a bit much combined. I did buy a DVD of Millennium Actress. Satoshi Kon is Hayo Miyazaki for adults.

Hey guys, I never really had a big thing for anime, I mean, I know what's good and bad and just awful but I've never immersed myself in an anime before. I'm starting to now. I'm been watching Case Closed on YouTube, as I remember watching it often on [adult-swim] a while back and I'm so glad I got into it again. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone here. It has action, detective crime solving, romance, humor, and even drama.

Hayao Miyazaki is Hayao Miyazaki for adults.

That's a really dumb comparison. Their films aren't similar in any way, other than the fact that they're animated.

If I had to compare him with someone, I'd go with Satoshi Kon is the David Lynch of anime, or something like that. Maybe a cross between David Lynch and Alfred Hitchcock.

I ended up watching the first episode of High School of the Dead today. I've seen a lot of people talk about it online, so I was pretty curious to watch it. Surprisingly, it's actually a pretty decent show. I know zombies have been extremely overused recently, but the show is really entertaining if you ignore the fact that there have been way too many zombie movies and games released in the last few years.

The only real problem with the show is its overuse of fanservice. I'm sure a lot of people like it, but to me it feels like they're trying way too hard to make the show edgy. There's only been one episode released so far, so it's hard to say if it's a good series or not. I'll definatly check out the other episodes as they come out to see whether or not the show is actually good.

Seriously? They're gonna end the Simpsons of anime? Seriously, how many episodes does Inuyasha have? It's ridiculous. Even if it was good, I wouldn't be able to watch it all in my wildest dreams.

I wouldn't really call it that. Their are much longer series out there than Inuyasha.

Also, calling it "the Simpsons of anime" implies that the show was ever good, so it's not really a fair title for it.

Virgil is so fucking badass. Like, on par with Zaraki Kenpachi or Alucard.
