I was about to ask why you would watch a show if you didn't think it was an enjoyable experience, but then I realised I watched How I Met Your Mother each week.

Wait, how can you say that Lucky Star was better than Azumanga Daioh? Lucky Star is more or less a shitty copy of Azumanga Daioh, but unlike Lucky Star, Azumanga Daioh was actually a good series.

Anyway, Azudaioh was a bit slow paced, but I liked it. It was a good show to kick back and relax to.

That's not at all a fair assessment.

The similarities are that it stars a bunch of high school girls, like so many other Japanese cartoons, but the way that each show approaches humour is quite different.

And of course there's the fact that you're assuming your opinion is objective.

Thirteen is a bit short, but they definatly should have considered not making multiple episodes with the same plot. They only needed to make one culture-fest episode, yet they insisted on making an episode for every school year.

They're similar in the sense that they both try to use random humour and have episodes that are based around little to no plot.

'Random humour'?

I think you're describing every comedy anime ever with that statement.

And with regards to 'little to no plot', that's just the entire genre of 'slice of life' anime, of which there are far too many.

"Again, like you said, Uso is fairly young whereas Kamille was around 15 I think"
"15 I think"

I don't read the wiki articles, I go by what I see. Never cared for wiki much anyways since anyone can alter the info found there. Not to mention why would I want to read about Zeta when I've already watched it? Doesn't make much sense there.

At 11/3/09 02:41 PM, Mendou wrote: Yeah, those kids and their angst. I think Uso didn't because Tomino was saving his bitterness and frustration for the final episodes :P

Yeah, the last fight he had against Katejina and all of Zanscare was pretty awesome I gotta say. I'm still waiting to see a pilot go full on berserk. Not like Kamille would do in Zeta. I mean completely bat shit insane and slaughter everything in his path leaving a massive wake of destruction. Along the lines of hot blood and vengeance.

Talk about weak willed I suppose. I'm actually playing through Uso's mission mode on DWG2, and the things Katejina in battle just honestly disgust. How could she act like that is beyond me.

She's doing it for the cock. The cock is powerful.

Respect the cock.

Fear the cock.

But hey, she got what she deserved by the end. Probably the cruelest outcome out of any of the Gundam antagonist.

Well I don't really know about cruel since she held no memory of what she did or really who she was. The blindness didn't seem to throw her off since she is or say WAS a Newtype. If anything it would be more so for Uso if he actually did see her in the last episode. Now, if she held all of her memories and was blind then I could agree with that more so.

Uso's specials are great, but everything else about the V Gundam is terribly unimpressive, imo.

Depending on the parts rank means a lot to the combo list. If you can get V to have all rank 4 parts then he would be a beast. The only ones I have that are all rank 4 parts are grunt uints but they still rape for me. I guess you could say the player and the mobile suit he's using equal the outcome of the battle.

But fuck people who use the Musha Mk II and Destiny online. That shit is just fucking unfair all the way around.

Same, works definitely been keeping me busy, and will continue to do so since the holiday season is getting closer.

We have been pretty dead at work this past two weeks until 6pm every night. We get a 30 minute busy streak and then it's back to dead as a door knob.

On another note: grabbing the Turn A Gundam series online(BY LEGAL MEANS WINK WINK)

Same here. I haven't began it yet. Borderlands is still eating the shit out of my time. I've also acquired F 91 in BluRay format. Just hope my equipment can run it. :/

---

OH YEAH. NEW MEMBERS RIGHT THAR

don't be discouraged if some of the members here rip your shit for the series you like. Just means you need to watch better ones in their opinion.

Also, don't talk about piracy either.

Makes you think?

Death Note is filled with characters announcing their intentions, why they're doing it, and how they're doing it all over the place. There's no thinking involved. The mystery is solved before it begins.

Watch Paranoia Agent or something if you want a show that "makes you think".

Possibility. I'm really looking forward to the OVA even if it's just six episodes. Shame though that when it's in destroy mode the pilot can only endure five minutes of it before it goes back to it's normal form. Even odder is that the pilot doesn't activate it, only when certain conditions are met.

eh, I just think blindness is a terrorizing thing to experience.

I can agree with you on that. I'd rather be deaf than blind. Even though I love music and hearing audible noises and sounds through out the day. The wind, birds, trees... I'd rather see and be deaf than the other way around. But I'd take being mute over all of those.

I don't think I have rank 4 parts for my suits yet. Might work on them sometime, but until then I'm burnt out on the game already :/

I hear you. Barzam was the first I got rank four parts for and I believe the 0079 GM was next. Getting them for the Gundams takes missions on hard mode and damn are some of them rediculous if you can't block right or know EXACTLY what you are doing. My problems with both of the games have ALWAYS BE THE FUCKING CAMERA ANGLES. Damn it man, you just can't see who's about to hit you with their SP attack sometimes and you get slaughtered.

Destiny is a pretty good suit, I can see why people would view it as cheap, though.

It's a really unfair suit to use since it is GOD TIER in terms of long range. Not to mention it's SP is relentless. 10 seconds of rape.

I recall you having a PS3, should be fine if that's the case. Speaking of which, I don't actually have a single blu-ray movie yet :o. Been waiting to buy an HDTV that I've been saving up for.

The movie 'is' five gigs alone. A buddy of mine said my equipment might be able to handle it. But yes, I do have a PS3. I don't use it much since my tv is shit and I'm in need of a VGA cable for it so I can plug the out put to my CPU monitor like I have my 360 doing so. I don't have a single BluRay movie either but I've thought about some. Then I'm reminded that I'm the only person out of any of my groups that has a PS3.

And that is like 30+ people. :/

BTW SWIMMING LESSONS WITH LIGHT IS OK AIGHT GUYS

So, since when have we made post count a requirement to joining this club? As far as I can remember it's never been a requirement.

---

Watched Gundam F 91. Pretty good but it moves really fast. One minute Seabook doesn't know anything about the F 91 and the next he shoots down two MS and cripples one like it was a small challenge. Thankfully there wasn't much death and despair and more reunions and love. It's about time Tomino!

The F 91 is rather unique in which it uses psycomu waves and has different radars than the gundams in the time line at that point. It goes into a super mode of sorts which increases it's output and speed multi-fold in which it creates a after image of it's self. Shame it was only a movie but it was still pretty good. Definitely worth the two hour run time.
