Yeah that shows mostly about character development unfortunately. Not bad though, still need to get the second season.

What's wrong with these...
But yea, Elfen Lied is overrated. For wannabe intellectuals, there isn't much to it.
Like if using Latin would make the show anymore intellectual. Right.

Well, I just finished the first season of Ouran High School Host Club. The manga is still ongoing so who knows if they'll make a second season. I can't really bring myself to watch the second season of Rozen Maiden, but I know I will out of obligation rather than enjoyment.
Back to OHSHC, I thought it was pretty good overall.

I'm watching Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex at the moment, and I'm enjoying it.
So I'd recommend that.

Pfft. Seriously, Melfina evoked sympathy as much as a moldy bisquit. Also, Suzuka and Hilda could have just as well been one character.

It's not futuristic, but it's from the same company.
Samurai Champloo, like CB it's themed with a genre of a music, in this case it's hip hop.

Not as annoying as the ADV trailer, but the voices are crap and "Seemon" is just laughable.

There are a million animations by the same company. Samurai Champloo isn't one of them.
The word you're looking for is "director".
Samurai Champloo, like CB it's themed with a genre of a music, in this case it's hip hop.
That's pretty much the opposite of futuristic.

Rumiko Takahashi needs to get off the crack. I love the woman, but we do not need any more episodes of Inuyasha.

Hello anime fans.
Spare me the anime slang as I'm only going to be here shortly. I just ordered the deathnote volume 1 DVD, from having a very very quick ctrl-f you lot seem pretty neutral on it. My brother has the first few mangas but refuses to buy more and I'm not buying a complete set when I know I....it's a long tedious story that needs retelling over and over again. I was quite interested after reading the first too. Heard there was a DVD of the anime but it was all region 1 (I'm in region 2).
But I learned that the first volume for region two came out recently (the next is out at the end of the month apparently). This is episodes 1-8 (dubbed , trust me it's hard enough getting a legitimate European copy without importing, I could download etc but I really don't want to do that).
I was wondering what the the first 8 episodes covered in volumes of the mangas? I can imagine either the anime cutting out many bits to fit in each episode or added unnecessary parts which were not there in the manga.
Also I heard it drags out at the end (some say it's not worth watching the last episodes), how much of this is true?
Obviously I'm not much of an anime person, some things may annoy you at my lack of knowledge on the subject. Personally I don't like too much flamboyance as I discovered when moving from a crime thriller manga to something....else.

I felt that it started getting quite boring about 15 episodes in the series.
It lacked any decent pacing, and went on for ages.
I found it unwatchable after around the 25th episode, and gave up a few episodes later.
Started off pretty well, though.
