It's pretty handy.
I have one, but I never update it.
I don't know how out of date it is by now.

No. I liked it, but the fillers ruined the show. Also, now that I've seen better anime, when I rewatch Bleach, I have the feeling that the story makes no sense at all.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Even worse, with the newest filler arc, it started out about a new squad captain, but than shifted over to a substory. Filler episodes, within filler episodes. Only with the most recent episode did it finally make sense.

Well originality doesn't really bother me much. Its all about exicution in my book. You can take an over used, beaten to death idea, and if you do it amazingly then, fuck it. I'll watch it.

Anyway, I'm thinking of starting an Akira club, but i don't know if I should. One guy already tried to make a club, but it was locked after only one post. And the post was himself bumping the topic.

It would be locked right away, and most likely a mod would link you to this very club.

Really? Cuz, there's already a club each for bleach and deathnote, so why not one for the most epic manga ever?

Because as good as it is, Akira's not tremendously lengthy and there's not too much to discuss.
Plus the fact that not a great deal of people have actually read the whole thing, most just watch the movie and only get a wee bit of the plot.

I'd read more of it... But...
Well, still frame, black and white action scenes just can't seem to get me going.

Finished my "fill in the gaps" rewatch by marathoning the entire show with a friend yesterday, and now it's his favourite series of all time.

Kaiji make drawing from a tissue box fucking terrifying, the most god damn amazing series. It has everything, delightful visual metaphors for hopleless thoughts in a life or death situation, a new type of art design that people my take wrongly when it really brings a sort of charm to the series and will make you shit bricks before you finally realize the shit thats going on in the story. Fucking 30/10 for this series it deserves high praise.
P.S The music kicks ass.

The opening theme actually sounds like punk rock, not pissy emo garbage. That stuff makes Joe Strummer turn over in his grave.

NG Mods are ignorant... I made a Wii club, when the official name was announced (you know, when the Wii was still called "The revolution"). The mods deleted it... They say "The revolution club" will manage.
Then after a few months, a "Wii club" was made, and that, they didn't delete. Morons.
Also, with my Suzumiya Haruhi club, but that's more understandable.

Hmm, I enjoy watching a good Anime once in awhile, so maybe this club could be good for me, plus I'd get to meet some people.
Anyway, any of you remember Slam Dunk? Your thoughts on it? Personally, I think that the ending wasn't that good, because it was quite the cliffhanger. Good thing the manga didn't end exactly like the Anime though.

I've heard of it, but I don't tend to watch sports anime. But trust me, there can be a lot worse endings then just a cliffhanger.

I would recommend tomorrows joe if you haven't already checked it out.
Can you tell me what's so great about Ippo?
I've heard a lot about it, but can't seem to try it because of it's oldness.
Any particular recommendations?

Well, you shold try a manga/anime regardless of oldness. Some are like wine or cheese, better with age. I myself recommend Bleach, Deathnote, Fullmetal Alchemist, Akira, ghost in the shell, and mobile wing gundam (including the spinoffs). I'm also told that the .hack series is pretty good, as well as 20th Century Boys, with the latter having won multiple awards for best manga.

Lol wtf XD, I meant recommendations, as in Ippo.
Also, those are the anime of whom everyone already has seen.
Apart from Akira, FMA and GiTs, you should recommend people stuff that are actually more refined. Still, these series are quite known.
How about you watch some more underground anime.

I can't actually think of any anime which has gotten better by being older.
Sure there's anime which don't seem worse as they get older (and production values get higher), but I can't think of any that gets better.

I do, because Rurouni Kenshin Tsuiokuhen looks amazing, and it is even more amazing when you realize it's made in 1996. When you look at anime of nowadays, they aren't even half as good as Kenshin.

Well, there are a few more, but I don't know how mainstream some of them really are, atleast in the Northwest. All are good (or good enough): Adolf, Appleseed, Bambi and her pink gun, Case Closed FLCL, Golgo 13, Onegai Twins, and Yotsuba&!. That refined enough for ya?
