Even though Street Fighter isn't really anime they did make a anime out of Street Fighter II and Alpha. I have the Alpha collection for the PS2 and it's pretty fucking awesome.

Also, Hokuto no Ken fandubs. Totally fucking hilarious.

So far, Star Ocean EX has done a reasonable amount of butchering to the game, but I must admit; it is picking up.

And Bowman is pretty damn cool.

Worth more but hey, can't argue there. I was going to pick up the manga of it but I slept from 4am to 9:30pm today or say yesterday so that got fucked.

Either way, GTO is a good series from word of mouth and reviews.

It is a very good series, though obviously superior in terms of the 25-volume release. Though I do not recommend watching it if you're infamiliar with many shows in general due to its mild amount of cultural references such as talk regarding Plamo, Gundam and plenty of in-jokes tied in with the drama version of GTO.

All I know is that the ending for the series wasn't fully satisfying.

The Animation's 'ending' was dull and had an 'incomplete' feel as there were still many unsolved problems whereas the comic's ending and everything that happens in between which was not animated has filled all the 'holes' which makes it feel more complete and therefore 'perfect',

Ooh.
Which brand and model do you have in mind?

...

And now for more /m/echa-talk!
This topic revolves around Atmospheric Re-Entry.

We have seen it happen a lot of times, all the way from the first Gundam's "Condom Wrapper" shielding to more recent heat and impact resistant Phase Shift Armor used on the G.U.N.D.A.M-type Mobile Suits of the Cosmic Era. But exactly how feasible is it compared to actual Atmospheric Re-Entry as shown in actual flight tests.

Let's take a look at a few cases:

The First Gundam had two variations (TV or Movies) which differed from each other when performing independent Atmospheric Re-Entry: A transparent 'condom thing' wrap-around which was highly heat-resistant, and the high-pressure coolant sprayed from its groin area which prevented the Mobile Suit from reaching dangerous levels of temperature despite its Lunar Titanium Armor.

During the events of MS IGLOO (Pre-One Year War 0079) and 0083, it is shown that more mass-produced units utilised pods known as HLVs (Heavy Liftoff/Landing Vehicles) for transporting multiple Mobile Suits out of and into Earth with little worry of being destroyed.

Later in the year 0087, the Mobile Suits and Ships are shown using Ballute Packs which expand and inflate upon application which did not only shield the machine from the heat but also lowered the speed of descent that a machine travels when under the influence of Earth's gravity. The obvious disadvantage of this more mass-producable method is that it leaves the Mobile Suit or Ship completely vulnerable to gunfire from the back. Should an attack hit the ballute pack and damage it, the Mobile Suit or ship is practically lost due to its missing heat shielding and therefore fall victim to the heat.

Another effect and less-used alternative in the same era was to use a disposable Wave-Rider, which used a sleeker aircraft design to send Mobile Suits down to Earth. This method was mastered by mechanic genius Kamille Bidan who incorporated both the Movable Frame and Wave Rider system into his personal Mobile Suit which served in the Gryps War and the first uprising of Neo Zeon.

In the Alternate Universe timeline known as After Colony, it was only Wing and Wing Zero (Kunio Okawara Version) that also incorporated a variable form used for atmospheric re-entry as shown and demonstrated in the TV Series. Though both of Katoki's versions were also capable of performing the same feat, it was only Wing that had a variable Bird Mode unlike the Wing Zero as its wings already provided an anti-heat shielding applied by covering the critical parts of the Wing Zero.

And as usual, discuss.

I bet they skipped town just to watch every episode I lent them (both seasons one and two, 40 eps worth).....dickfaces.

Imaginably, since then you won't risk getting the replacments sent in shoddy packaging.

Also, the second I get my shit back, I am slapping on season one for the sake of going on one big nostalgia trip.

I WISH IT WAS STILL THE MID-90S, GODDAMMIT!!!

At least they were dirt cheap.

Yeah, thank God for that.

But of course

Good series, but the rewatch value is decreasing rapidly.

Good anime is good, enjoy yourself.

I shall, I shall.
