true, but all the good games coming out for the PS3 are not launch titles. and on my budget, there is no way i could afford one. at least the Wii is in my range.

I'm happy with my 360 right now. Good games are starting to come (Splinter Cell: Double Agent, BF2142, Halo 3 soon, a bunch of other games I'm looking forward to too)

PS3 has maybe 1 or 2 games I would love to play (I WANT MGS4!) but I can wait for a massive price drop...

Wii looks more promising, Im not going to Pre Order it, because everyone in my area isnt really that crazy about it, so I have a good chance of geting it. And it comes out in the UK on the 8th december, just in time for Xmas.

Rule of thumb of common sense:

NEVER get a console as soon as it comes out.

The Xbox 360 is a perfect example. The ones that got it right away ended up wrecking their cd's.

if you wait for a second gen console, unforseen bugs and problems will be fixed, not to mention a wider variety of games will have been released...it's all about patience though, something most people don't have.

I'll get both the Wii and the PS3 eventually. I'm going to hold off on the PS3, though, so not only can I buy the games I'm waiting for at the time of purchase, but it may be cheaper by then. Heck, and then there's Christmas. I don't know what I'll get then =)

Not alwaus true. Most of my friends have console from the first wave of 360s, and none of them have had problems with them. Anything that is mass produced has to be taken care of in a certain way or it will mess up. Any problem from any console is 99% due to the owner.
