Well, Aftermath is pretty much gory fake necro porn. Cannibal Holocaust had gruesome genuine animal slaughter. Guinea Pig: Flower of Flesh and Blood is 40 minutes of a single woman being dismembered, disembowled, and decapitated. Don't even get me started on AUM.

Ive seen cannibal holocaust and ichi the killer. i think the only reason cannibal holocaust is really considered violent is becuase tey use real animals. the rapes were a bit over the top but it wasnt that bad.

can someone compare the mount of american movies to the amount of japanese movies and the amount of movies with nazi's in it . Didn't see any of the movies but i kinda wanna know , i heard about ichhi and guinea pig so i always though jap's where the one 's to make the bloodiest films ... don't suposse the hills have eyes uncut has a place amongst those monsters ? most horrid one i saw i guess

A movie that should be on the top ten list is Naked Blood by Hisayasu Sato.
The depictions of the lady slicing off parts of herself and eating it is extremely sick, especially when she takes her own eye out and munches it lovingly while growing with satisfaction as blood gushes out of her empty eye socket. This actually bothered me much worse then some of the movies I have seen on that list. A big part of it is the tone to the picture...Sort of like th ending of Audition ( The self eating scene in Naked Blood is a far more disturbing experience however ).
I meant, " she was eating her own eye and growning with satisfaction, not 'growing' ". Opps!

I watched August Undergroud's Mortum, I was not really all that impressed by it. It is shot on camcorder. The camera work is extreamly shakey, the dead baby magot scene did not freak me out, if anything it was rather boring because it wasn't so much a movie as it was a home movie. The people were not believable in the least bit, all they did was run around and yell and act nuts. I really do not think it is worthy of the top honor in this list.
Again, the most sickening thing I ever seen is still Naked Blood which is not even on this list.
I also bough Salo which I will watch later and then report back on this forum.

Just reporting back on Salo, by Paolo Pasolini. In a single word..."WOW!" This is an incredible film. It is not only extremely sick, but it is a masterwork of hate that ranks up there with Straw Dogs by Sam Pekinpah, A Clockwork Orange by Stanly Kubrick, and Naked by Mike Leigh. They are not all the same of course, Mike Leigh's Naked bleeds with humanity, Salo goes the oppisite directions and depicts how power currupts everthing and turns humans into things that are completely replacable and are therefor meant to be used up. Unlike. This is not just people running amuck with no rhyme or reason, but is instead instilled with a philosphy. Though it is set during the facist occupation of Italy during WWII, it is not historically accurate which leads me to believe that Pasolini must of really been attacking the same demons that Paddy Chayefsky attacked in the 1976 masterpiece Network, and that is capitolism.
On a side note, If anyone here does plan on buying Straw Dogs, get the Criterion Collection version, which has by far the best commentary track ever. It is by a film scholar Stepphen Prince and is like sitting in on a mater class on film violence.
Naked, by Mike Leigh is also available on Criterion, and has what I feel is the acting performance of the 1990's. David Thewlis who plays Johnny, puts on a performance that is like an explosion on screen.
Anyway, Salo is well worth the investment...I can not in good conscience say the say about August Mortem's Underground which is no more then a curiosity.
Outside of this, I must stress that real sickness can be found in Naked Blood.

Yeah that original list is how i started watching sick movies years ago. After seeing all of those ,I dont agree with their order, but whatever.
Only ones I would add to the list
Slaughtered Vomit Dolls - Its a really really shitty movie, but it is sorta gross, could have been much worse though. Think a really bad Murder Set Pieces meets Mordum.
Feed - This movie is just messed up, like nothing makes me uncomfortable, but i didnt want to eat after watching this one.
Salo - two words, eating poop. And even though its not real poop, it sure convincing.
Visitor Q - Sick dosent have to mean violent. In my eyes sick is pretty much this movie. Picture the wierdest hentai you could think of, now make it into a movie. Incest, necrophilia, lactating, analshit sex.... yeah, its damn hilarious though.
The guinea pig series is messed up, but most of them are rather weak comapred to the previously mentioned flowers of flesh and blood and Mermaid in a Manhole. Not as gory as FoFaB, but pretty nasty nontheless.

I've seen a few things on the OP's list like Cannibal Holocaust and August Underground. But I prefer silly violent movies more anyway. One of my favorites is Truth or Dare: A Critical Madness, extremely retarded 80's shit, with tons of fake blood.

Braindead (aka Dead Alive) is probably the goriest film ever made. Although, the whole thing is so tongue-in-cheek I wouldn't class it with other films like The Last House on the Left.
