OPERATION VALIANT STRIKE
south east Afghani villages are being raided by more than 1000 US troops to find al Quaeda members. it appears the US is trying to take out all threats in a single blow.

I guess this strike was planned to be launched concurrently with the beginning of the war in Iraq. Damn--what if we get Osama and Saddam in the SAME DAY? It would make me celebrate that much harder once the Fourth of July rolls around, that's for sure.

FOX news. an excellent source of relatively unbiased news. SKY news in the UK (i think it's SKY of SKYY, not sure) is the FOX sister station across the Atlantic.

I agree. I can't stand CNN, NBC, MSNBC, ABC, etc.

this is kind of exciting. if we take out al Qaeda leadership and topple the Iraqi regime at the same time it would be a huge win for the US. Geraldo Rivera is covering it. heh heh. excellent.

Odd how we never heard a word of this invasion. Maybe I just wasn't watching the television at the time. Oh well, I'll do a little diggin' and see if I can turn up more information on it.

there was no news on it until it actually happened. there wasn't any preemptive warning to any attack in Afghanistan until the attack on Iraq began.
