Monocrom Thanks much for the new chapter. Enjoyed it much becuase it was quick moving with no charicter or other set up. just a build up to the impending blood bath. I Do regonize that fun as violnce and action are plot and plot development are necisary to make the violence/action/whatever MEAN somthing.

I think my favorate line was the "economy-of-motion" one. I am curious to know the origens (if any) of this idea.

visited your link I don't mind the nutral blue backrond. I wonce visited one with a red backrond and man oh man was it hard on the eyes. one issue thogh links once clicked turn purple and are very hard to see against the blue backround. See example below.

As for "economy-of-motion," not entirely sure of its origin. Some say the concept comes from martial arts. But not all Arts have adopted it. (Kenpo being one example). Although found in R.B.S.D., I learned about it when I first took up Knife Combatives training.

(There's far more to it than just stab the other guy and wait for him to politely fall down, dead. Often times, it's not even about trying to kill the other guy. But it's still a highly controversial topic).

The specific example was regarding the highly UN-likely situation of 2 guys squaring off with each other. The example was: "If it takes you 3 moves to get your knife out and into action, but I only need 1 move; guess who's going to win."

When it comes to Knife Combatives: Speed is a HUGE factor.

Yeah I know, I could have just given a more Politically Correct answer and just said Martial Arts. But you asked an honest question, so I gave an honest answer.

1) I do not have the problem monocrome has. What browswer is everone using anyway? I'm using fire fox but I just tryed loading it up in IE (internet explorer) and didn't run into any issues.

2) possible answer to your problem. Newgrounds links show one color normaly another color on mouse over and yet another once clicked. mabie purple is the default after click color and there is some way to change this.

Not just silly, but everyone would hate me for turning my entertaining story into crappy nothingness.

Chapter 26: The 2nd Secret.

The Omnipresence sat on his throne, angry beyond belief. He had soon realized that he had one missing item. One item needed to kill the Destroyer King, the screaming lunatic who instantly brought back some of the worst memories that he ever had. There was no way to put an end to SOAS' lunatic. Not yet, anyway.

He was surprised when Carmilla paid him an unexpected visit. Surprised, and a bit happy to see her.

"Hello, my sweet one." He said with a smile.

"It's been so many Lifetimes since you've called me that." She said, smiling back.

"I remember the night you first opened your eyes. I remember how much fun you used to have...... playing with the humans. Carmilla, Mircalla....... Always alternating between the two. You were always my favorite......"

"Are you alright?" She asked with genuine concern.

"No...... I never realized what the Destroyer King would be. I just thought he'd be an insane vampire. But he's more than that. So much more...... He's a re-creation of something very ancient, very powerful....... more of a wild beast."

"Is that what they were?" She asked softly.

"You always were clever....... I think you know the answer to that, already."

"What were they, specifically? I know the Ancient Ones weren't vampires. Not like us." She said.

"No, not like us..... I remember that day. Don't remember much of my old Life, but I remember that day. Working in the fields, tending the crops, looking forward to meeting up with my close friends later on, that night. Just to have a bit of good, clean fun. To relax a bit. It's not how most historians image it, but we did find time to have fun back then. Standing around outside, next to the small fire we made. We heard this screaming sound, just kept getting closer and closer. They were upon us before we even had a chance to run."

"What did they look like?" Asked Carmilla.

"Picture a bat, about seven feet tall. No wings, just arms and claws attached to the upper half of a mass of fur. Legs attached to the lower half. They were runners. Screamed towards us as they ran...... so fast. As they tackled us to the ground, I could smell the stench of alcohol on them. They reeked of it. We were nothing more than a meal for a small bunch of hungry, drunken demons. There isn't even a name for what they are. The next day, we awoke....... with no one to teach us how to use our new powers and abilities. Back before the word 'vampire' even existed, we were the first of our kind."

"So, none of you were chosen to be royalty?" Asked Carmilla.

"No, my sweet one..... There's no such thing. I didn't want to tell you. But I suppose you are old enough to know the truth. The other Queens are infants, compared to you. Don't tell them."

"What did you all do?" She asked.

"Learned to control our powers. Took us over 200 years. But we managed. And by then, we had all gotten sick of even looking at each other. We decided we all needed new ones to add to our exclusive group. If it makes you feel better, you WERE chosen. You weren't an accident or a mistake. I didn't choose you, but I wish I had. You were so playful when you were new." He said to her with a smile.

Carmilla smiled back.

"Which one of you wrote the ancient texts?" She asked.

"I did. My power....... the future holds nothing new for me. I even predicted when my old friends would die. It wasn't until we became grand-parents that the Sun became death to our bundles of joy. You're fortunate that you were turned directly. The other Queens, down through the ages; a bit of my blood mixed with theirs.' But not you, you're the only one who never needed me...... I'm sorry, Carmilla. I don't think our kind was even meant to exist."

"You know how this is going to end, don't you?" She replied.

The Omnipresence nodded his head.

"You might just be surprised. But I won't tell you. I'm not going to hold your hand, and just make everything easy for you........ What kind of parent would I be if I did that?"

"No matter what happens, I will come out on top. I will have a King, and I'm going to stand by his side as we take over this rude, miserable excuse for humanity that masquarades as a community of people. I'm sorry, but I don't care what you see as the vision of the future. I'll take that vision, and beat it until it begs for death. There's a reason why I'm still here and all of the first other Queens are dead. And when this is over, I'm still going to be here." Said Carmilla.

He climbed off his thrown, walked over to her, and gently kissed her above her right eyebrow.

"Now that's the Carmilla, I remember." He smiled, before heading out the door.

She stood there...... genuinely feeling sorry for the Blood God, Farmer.

"Mono's on the inside. And he's risking his Life for this plan. That's good enough for me." Said Demeaning.

"Okay, what the heck. It WILL give us an opportunity to strike a major blow against the clans."

"I want you to contact your brother." Said Demeaning.

"Oh, I know what you want. Yeah, he can definitely help us out. How many do you want?"

"We're going to need at least a half dozen cases." replied Demeaning.

"That much?! You sure?"

"Anything worth doing, is worth doing right. I'll make sure the other weapons are ready." Said Demeaning.

"When does it take place?"

Sarai took one look at her King, and faked the biggest smile you ever did see! She dutifully took his hand, and took him back to her mansion. All she could think of, as she looked at him, were her dead followers from the attack lead by satan. That, and the feelings that kept returning to her about them. She definitely had her work cut out for her. But she could see that there was something there. Definitely a great deal of potential. It would just require a great deal of work. Still, Sarai was optimistic..... Perhaps a bit too much so.

As jade explored tigerkitty's mansion, she bumped into Monocrom. Over the next few weeks, the two would become friends. He thought she was adorable. And she really didn't have a problem with that. Like the sweet, younger sister he never had; he became very protective of her. He had to keep reminding himself she was a vampire. Something he forgot quite often when they spent time together. Despite having recently become a blood-thirsty creature, she never acted like one.

The news came as a complete shock. The lone survivor of the massacre at Dobio's Den had finally been released from the hospital's Psych Ward. Dobio wasted no time running over to her apartment. He went there, alone.

At first, she tried to feed him the same line she had given at the hospital. But he knew she was lying. There was no way a bunch of armed psychos had invaded his club. Dobio stayed and did his best to get the truth out of her. Several hours later, he succeeded. The story she told was unbelieveable. Especially considering that it was the truth.

Dobio walked out of her apartment building. His gut told him that she had been honest about everything. And Dobio always went with his gut. He didn't know why a group of vampires had invaded his club....... but he was going to make them pay for messing with his girls.

When the baby stopped crying, satan broke it's neck. Putting the poor thing out of its misery.

She had added a few more strays to her clan of Sumjacks..... But none were still able to stomach what needed to be done.

3rd time before the pm. Great chapter mono but some of the stuff seemed kinda tacked on.
