Will you put up with them?

The other afternoon I was happily browsing the internets on my computer, when my phone rang. I answered it, and was greeted by the most annoying voice I have ever heard.

Girl: HI! Is Ryan there??
Me: Um, yeah that's me.

Girl: HI!!! My name is Sue and I'm calling from (so-and-so) College! I was wondering, have you thought about coming here?!
Me: Sort of, I guess...

Sue: Awesome!! I just wanted to tell you a few things about our college! It is a great place, ummm, for instance we have a great baseball and basketball team! And, ummmmm..........Oh! I'm supposed to ask you a few questions first! Um.....Let me see here.....Ummmmmmmm......I don't know what I'm supposed to ask you!
Me: Uh...huh.

Sue: Yeah! Ummm.....well I can call you back! Ummmm....but we really do have a great baseball and basketball team!!
*Awkward silence*
Me: Cool, um, call back sometime.
Sue: Alright! BYE!
*Hang Up*

That was possibly the dumbest thing I had ever been a part of, does this happen to anyone else?

That sounds pretty weak sauce. Poor girl. It was probably some crummy work-study position at the college or something. "We have a good basketball and baseball team" LoL. Well, that will insure you a great future with the education we have to offer! LoL...

Well anyways, you wouldnt get those calls if you werent good in school. Are your acedemics an grades good? or are you good at any sports? Colleges always want the best students Im guessing

I'm pretty good academically, sports are tough becuase of my job, but I do a bit. Basically I test well. The teachers like me too, that's always a bonus.

I got many calls from Ohio State University when I applied there. I ended up choosing a college that is better in the field I'm heading in to. However, Ohio State sure has a kickass football team. I'll probably head there for graduate school (for other reasons).

I'm also heading to an OSU game this weekend.
