I get your point, but I'll just point out a small mistake, the limit is 200 votes, after 200 it will be protected if the score is high enough, or blammed if its too low. So if 250+50 people vote its already over the limit.

there are probably a few reasons

a. the under judgement system is fucked beyond recognition and completely open to exploitation by anyone, and many have given up all hope
b. no one cares about a few numbers and a fancy icon in their profile when the only benefit is the ability to more easily gain numbers and fancy icons in our profiles, if that makes any sense. we can't all be as pathetic as ramagi or one of the other hardcore B/Pers, you have to give us more incentive to sacrifice our real lives for the sake of some extra pixels.
c. big bitch

I'll tell you right now, it's because of the enormous sizes of the flahses, either people don't want to wait for the voting pannel to come up or just don't have the time.

the reason the voting is lestening is because people dont know how to upload flash compressed so it take 5 minutes for you to be able to blam something like the KK stuff which isn't really worth the time.

Not? As far as I know people with high VP put more weight on the score. So when it comes to blamming, a flash has to cross a certain low score, below 1,00 with 50 first votes.. or something to be blammed. If more people with high VP vote low than people with lower VP the blamming process should go faster.

I think I just got confused..

i like this idea. NG wdas meant for flashes, not forums so i agree

I think that idea is stupid. Not everyone signs up just so they can vote on flash movies. Many people sign up so they can talk on the BBS as well and it wouldn't be fair for them to have to vote on something just so they could use the BBS!

I think the portal's dying.
There is not enough good flashes being sumited to the portal.
Most of them are crap now.
I think this is whats making the portal so upopualr.

I first started to lose interest in blamming/protecting when you had to wait a number of seconds, corresponding to the file size, before you could vote on the submission. Sure, it may have made people view more of the flash, but more often than not, it often meant you had to wait almost a minute to blam something that was nothing more than garbage.

Another reason I stopped b/p ing is because I could no longer see the effect my vote had on the submission.

I think it's a good thing, thought, that flashes are staying under judgement for longer periods; it allows a larger group of people to have access to the flash. Whereas only people in a narrow 30 minute window were able to vote on the flash, the under judgement period being longer allows for a larger and more diverse group of users to see the submission. I wouldn't mind seeing the under judgement period actually extended.

So often times it happens, that we live our lives in chains, and we never even know we had the key...

I've only become active on the BBS/BLAM/PROTECT/EXP for the past week.

But now i'm slowing down because all the crap i try to BLAM passes through... and it pisses me off.

So i relaxed and i'm voting less now.

Flashes are really poor... and we dont like to view a large amount of dirtbags in row and we are also getting tired pf the crews (glock, clock, lock, star syndicate) who makes poor flashes and then get protected... the flash portal is shity...

The largest reason that I have stopped voting on under judgment movies is that it takes too long for the vote panel come up [for larger submissions]. I'm really irritated when an 8mb submission consisting of poor animation and uncompressed audio takes several minutes before being able to have a vote.

I understand fully that this is a measure against voting without getting a fair glimpse of the submission, and that many good submissions probably have a more deserving score because of it. However, racking up B/P points, an activity I used to enjoy, now requires an uncomfortable amount of time.

Exacly what I said, the only way to fix it is go back to the old way of clicking play and it automatically come up, but noobs would just vote randomly with that power.

I stopped voting on anything more than 5 megs. It is irritating to have to sit though something i know they did not optimize. Bring back the old system. It wasn't broken, why did you try to fix it?

so people wouldn't just vote 5 or 0 without ever seeing the movie, they probably thought this would be fairer to the artist.

Wade, to be honest, a while ago, it was fun. But most lately, shit from the KittyKrew, and just other abolmenations to this planet, have somewhat bored us from doing this sort of stuff. Yeah, the nifty little stuff and ranks is nice, but rather tedious to get. If you're after that, I just voted, but lately the shit flash amount has jumped.

I noticed that also. Of course, when people submitted 7 to 10 meg files, alot of people just don't bother voting on it takes a while for the panel to show up. I almost gotten to the point of it is more than 4, just move on to the next one.

I suggest there should be a shorter set time after you click on the movie, people would be more willing to take time and vote. or actually make a timmer so they know how long it will be and not leave at the last secound.
