well, it seems that iraq does have WMD. now we have to deal with "chemical ali", the general in charge of deploying all chemical or biological weapons. the US is in big trouble if they use it.

I wouldn't be surprised of ol' Moustache lit off a weapon or two as a final blow. Matter of fact, with 7 hours left, I'm surprised he hasn't done so yet.

He's waiting for us to become the aggressor. Then he can say that he only used wmd/bio in self defense.
Sadly, aside from the Iraqis he has already killed, he'd be right.

Well, if he does use WMDs, then it proves that we were right, and makes France look stupid...
But still, it would probably be a good idea to take out some of the sites where he keeps the weapons before we move in. Just remember though, that any Iraqi soldier that uses WMDs will be prosecuted as a war criminal, and since I'm betting that most Iraqi troops will surrender, it's probably something we don't have to worry about too much.

Also quite likely.

I think you have your wires crossed. Iraq has been split into four defence zones by Saddam. "Chemical Ali" has been put in charge of one of them (the most southern-most I think.) Who is known to have used chemical weapons before (it was him who "gassed the Kurds".)
TheEvilOne: What's this about them being war criminals if they use WMDs? I would find it ironic if they were tried for that as Donald Rumsfeld actually wants to use chemical weapons (y'know ones thatare just sitting there in America in breach of international law.)

I would be very surprised if Iraq used chem/bio weapons.
First off, the majority of the world sees them as the victim and using WoMD would be the surest way they could reverse that.
Secondly, they probably won't have the opportunity to use them since the airstrikes the U.S. will launch to commence the war will take out much of their military installations.
Finally, the use of chem/bio weapons would be pretty fruitless since the outcome of the war is a foregone conclusions. If Iraq has WoMD they would probably attempt to put them to better (worse) use - by getting them to a civilian population like Israel.

War sucks! war isn't some fantastic, glorious hooplah like the idiot countries during WWI felt. War is frustration that brings upon further frustration

Well, that is what Bush said: Anyone who uses chemical/biological weapons will be tried. And I haven't heard anything about us having chemical weapons. Hell, we probably do. But as I have said time and again: after Iraq invaded Kuwait, the UN decided that Iraq had forfeited the right to carry such weapons. And I don't think we will use chemical weapons. If we did, it would be hypocritical, but I think the main thing is that it just flat out won't be necessary.

Sadly it doesn't have the little table it had in the newspaper. They had like 15'000 tonnes of Mustard Gas, 7'000 of Sarin and 4'000 of VX, among other things.

So, basically, we're not allowed to even use tear gas as a weapon of war?
