I'm just another American that doesn't think to much of Bush, but I just had a question. || Given the ultimadum that he and his family had to leave the U.S. and resign from office, Do you really think Bush would do this to avoid a war, and ensure the saftey of our people?

good question, i would have to say no... the theory behind it is he still has a high approval rating, and would consider himself the champion of freedom or something and fight to the death for democracy..

I'd say yes for only one reason...where would we fight if we were invaded on land? I was bored the other day and i was making up names of future events taking place on American soil. Here are some ideas:
Battle of Appalachia
The Badlands Standoff
Battle of Los Angeles (Whoops copyright issue)
Louisiana Delta Offensive
Worcester Massachussetts Scorched Earth Policy
Boise Armistice.
Which sounds the nicest for you? It's obvious that Bush would rather take the war to Saddam's House than otherwise.

The president of the United States is basically a programmable sack of flesh...easily replaced and totally dispensable. It's not at all as if he makes ANY decision on his own. I've heard rumours that he has his food chewed for him as well since that unfortunate pretzel incident..

I think he would. He does what he has to for the nation.

I don't think Bush would, if he were the one who had to make the decision to step down and leave the country or face a war against superior forces.
