Yeah, I meant plagiarism. Strange, because when I looked it up in the dictionary it said plagiacy. Oh well. Anyway, I think the only good way to find out about plagiarism is to get yourself one of those law books. You could ask a random attorney/judge too.

Redrawing game characters isn't illegal, unless you're going to sell the pictures, if I remember correctly. It's recreating images that is illegal.

And I agree with pox, I think demi-monthly would be better. (Is demi-monthly a word?)

Since this topic ran much too long, and there's TONS of great entries, I think you should have twice as many prizes, just to be a little more fair, or perhaps have a couple catagories like Most Original, Most Artistic, etc.

Glad to know to they'll only be two weeks from now on, that more reasonable, and hopefully I'll actually want to participate in the next one :P

very cool contest, amazing art everyone didnt know that so many ppl who werent regulars were this talented but i think even takeing the best most original entries there would still be a large large handfull left out i think in future contests give out one grand prize and then give out like 20 t shirts for those you really thought deserved it because personally id rather have a $100 worth of ng tshirts/ stickers then the actually $100, tho i would take the $1000 cash haha
