im working on my english project thats due tommrow and like all of a sudden for no reason whenever i press enter to see what i did, it only moves one frame down the timeline and stops. i was like wtf whatever itll probably work fine as an swf, so then i exported it and it still didnt work. im so confused...

Press control+enter to see how it actually looks, because if you press just enter, your movie will play on the stage, where you are creating movie, so it won't play like it should. Especially if you have some of the animation inside of movieclips.

thats the kind of stuff that happens to me when I don't include a preloader. But if your problem includes not being able to do a live edit preview, then I would suggest copying the second half of the movie into a new file to see if it plays. More than likely you added something in (a horrible file/picture) and flash just rejects you for it.

Oh, and try doing a save/compact when its safe. That will often times reduce lag.

Having actually looked at the flash now, I do believe its because you didn't include a preloader.

Sorry, I didn't understood you right. So you have already exported the movie and it doesn't work right... Maybe you should check if you made some mistakes while creating it. But it looks alright to me.

Lol, its my english project for the story of tantalus a greek myth about a guy who all the gods love until oneday he cuts up his son and serves it to the gods making the gods pissed and making him have everlasting punishment. the end

bleh i got it to work. turns out my computer was player hating flash. i just restarted my computer.
