He can probably just pretty much use the same code though. And just make the levels a little different.

Yay, my Bamboo finally arrived today! I've only been messing with it for about two hours now and I can already see that my artwork looks way, and I mean way, better than before. I'm at the same level as Adam Philips right now. Maybe a little higher.
To illustrate it's brilliance and sheer power when it comes to using the almighty paint brush, I've finished my, dare I say, magnum opus:

Developer Days
Instead of these individual developer days, one could organize a "Flash Community Day" or something similar. Everyone would make an animation or game honoring a Flash developer(s) or idea, which has been influential or important to them. That way, you don't have a bunch of different days each honoring a single person, but one day to honor the community. Of course, one runs the risk of getting a slew of animations for Adam Phillips or Tom Fulp, but hopefully it would be more diverse.

I think that is a really cool idea, and yeah, hopefully some lesser-known artists would have a spotlight shone on them. Good thinkin!

But then the guy who actually made it will see it, and say on his website that the guy didn't make it.
They used to call me souled...

This picture has been brought to you in Luis-o-vision
Connected my new Digicamera to my PC for the first time and downloaded the photos.
While the UK Reg Meet goers may now wish to call me the Newgrounds Paperazzi, in truth I got very few decent (read as, incriminating) shots.
Here's photo from the NG Flash Forum Regs London Meet Mk 2. Five of us invaded a Dutch bar opposite Les Mis outside Chinatown to celebrate Luis' 28th. From left to right it's deltaLuca, Kirk-Cocaine, me, AlmightyHans and Luis. Incidentally, the speed at which we all blurred is about the level of drunkeness we all were.
Double vodka, double sambuca, double gin, double tequilla. Washed down with strawberry beer.
Yummy.

Jesus, me and my mate had the hardest time finding that dutch bar near Chinatown that night. When we got to the door we heard the place was full and we couldn't get in anymore.. Pity, now I still owe Luis and Richard a beer. We ended up in a club called 'Metra' that evening which was pretty cool anyway.
It kinda all went different than i planned. I wish i had more time to talk with some of you guys, but since i woke up every day with a hangover at 2 am and there were some lovely french lasses in our dorm, plans changed slightly.. heh. Oh well it was cool to briefly see the faces of everyone i speak to on here. London is fuckin awesome and my only regret is that i didn't discover the city sooner!

Bleh the biggest drag about London is going and getting back.. that plane trip is brutal..
It was a very surreal trip.. in a way the way we had so many people in the flats it felt like the brady bunch. It was cool though. Extremely unique experience and everyone is like family to me.
I'll try and drag the fulp over next time.
K going to bed, im jetlagged.

Advanced Search?
It'd be really useful to have an advanced search for the portal, I can't count the times when I'm looking for something that I probably could've found if you could search for specifics other than title and author. The categories could be like 'year, movie/game, part of the author comments, if it was on frontpage, if it won any awards' or something like that. I dunno, It's just really not worth having to go into the where is/how to forums to give some vague details and hope that someone might know what you're talking about.
Does anyone know if this was planned to be part of the redesign or considered at some point...?
always behind schedule.

Animators actually not part of the site...
I'm honestly bothered by the animators that come around only for the prize, awards, and cash. It's kinda annoying. I don't really quite like the inactive members that are only submitting but that's it. I believe members should take part in the community unlike LegendaryFrog or many others. It seems Dustball doesn't really show his face in the BBS much either. Was he ever a reg?

People enjoy different aspects of the site. Some people like to get reviews for their animation so they submit to the portal, some like to talk to other people so they come to the bbs, etc. I think its unfair to say they just come for prizes/awards but im not denying that there are no animators that do come here for that.

Animators not part of the site
If anything I think it's more of the games people who have already submitted to all the other ng knockoffs and submit it here just because it's another flash portal, or they get more money/exposure or whatever. The animators that don't really show their faces around the bbs are more involved in other things and I don't really think they have time for anything else besides the time they get to work on their animations. People like adam phillips, dustball or whatever, I'm not really bothered by those guys because they're still a big part of Newgrounds and I think it's more of an accomplishment for them to just finish a movie then it is if they win an NG award. They're probably more about the more big-time awards anyway.
always behind schedule.

I think people come to Newgrounds for different reasons. People just want to vote on a few movies and leave, others want to just do contests, and a handful want to come to the forums and post all day. It's just a matter of choice.

Heh, Hans is hardcore. He's hardly blurred at all.
Anyway, our water up here's been almost entirely cut off due to flooding (yup, even natural disasters have a sense of irony here in the UK). That means I have to find a creative way of getting clean, nice-smelling and sexy by the time I need to turn up for an exam in a few hours, without using more than a trickle of ice-cold water. Hair's the biggest problem area - it's about shoulder length an gets greasy as hell if I leave it unwashed for more than eighteen hours. Any ideas?
