Yet somehow I'm only like 135 pounds and less then 10% body fat! I got really lucky!

Yeah, same here. I'm an unhealthy bastard by anyone's standards. I've not had a breakfast in something like five years that wasn't fried, and generally have loads of annoyingly unhealthy snacks throughout the day. The only exercise I ever really get is in walking places as much as possible, playing badminton (badly) every few weeks and occasionally getting wasted and dancing like an idiot, and the last two really only over the last year or so. Even so, if anything I look dangerously undernourished. Some people just aren't cut out for being fat.

A rate of change in sanity with respect to time.

Snack Stuff
Yeah, our office has a table full of food and a fridge full of pop. It's amazing how my appetite has grown on the weekends, since I am usually munching on trail mix or drinking a Dr. Pepper or something.

I also finally started to feel the effects of the 2-3 pm crash.

Domain Name?

So, after countless of attempts on making a website that will work like some kind of portfolio of mine, I have finally been able to make something that just might be finished :P It's nothing fancy, nor is it very advanced, but at least it have some basic stuff like news, comments, and suff like that. Now I'm looking to buy a domain and hosting so that I can start testing how it will work on the real server, and I actually have everything figured except one thing: what domain should I get? Dreamworx.com, -.net, -.org are all taken :(

I have a few ideas, none of them seems really good, but I guess I don't really have a choice. Please tell me which one you think I should get (if you have any other suggestions than the ones listed below it's of course welcome as well):

Dreamworx.se
-I am from Sweden, but most of my visitors probably wont be, that's why I don't really like this one
Dreamworxflash.com
-Probably my favorite as of now, still don't find it to be perfect though
Dreamworxstudios.com
-It's an alternative, but I think that '<insert random word here> studios' is being way overused, and I can't call myself a studio really :P

They used to call me DreamworX..

Domain Name
I would go with Dreamworxflash.com. Personally I hate it when people call themselves a studio/productions etc... you're just some kid sitting at home making Flash (for the most part) xP

Yeah, and all those kids who've just started Flash that call themselves a studio just annoys the hell out of me.

There is, and I've thought of using it, but it just doesn't feel right for the kind of site that I'm making. Also, it seems to be very unknown, so if anybody would like to get to my site but forgot the domain .eu is probably among the last ones they would guess on :P

Pet Peeves

I have really weird ones. Like in exams, questions phrased incorrectly, like "Name 4 types of memory?" (it has a ? when its an instruction, not a question). Or when people say 'owned' or 'noob' in real life, it just makes me squeem.

Luis, so you never cut your nails? Dont they just get really long and annoying?

CS3 Suite

Got the whole CS3 suite a few days ago (my dads school got it, and lent it to us), and it's pretty impressive. Weird thing is, they have several different programs that do effectivly the same thing, but with small differences (3 different image editing programs, 2 different web design). I still dont get why they dont make a word processor, word bugs the crap out of me.

I also downloaded the AIR patch, and I'm loving it. At the moment, I'm trying to make a AIR application that displays the NG RSS feeds (proving very difficult).

For those that don't know what AIR is, it is a new program platform that creates .exes out of .swfs, .htmls, .xmls and JS. Its incredibly great and easy to use, and you have so much more power than in regular flash.

Alright, I admit, I was actually talking about sex!

I would stray away from dreamworx to be honest, considering that dreamworks is a huge animation company, it doesn't feel original enough. However, I can't really suggest an alternative. What's your last name? It's always a safe bet to turn that into a domain name, maybe add something to the end to create alliteration or rhyme.

I definitely see your point, and I am regretting more and more that I chose this alias as it doesn't feel like it's my own in any way. Despite this I don't really think that choosing a completely different name for my domain is an option really, as it is by this alias I have earned the recognition I have.. I don't think that anybody have a clue about my real name without having to look it up, and I have actually intentionally tried to earn recognition mainly as my alias simply because my name has no good ring to it whatsoever (Erik Johansson :3).

I have many times thought about coming up with a new artist name, but the lockdown of the user names earlier this year prevents me from doing so as that would mean that I would have to create a brand new account and lose what I've built up in my time here.

With this said, I think that I will go with DreamworXFlash.com.. I have a hard time seeing that anything else is an option :S

Keep your alias, but if you're making a site, it's ok to not have your site match with your alias. For me my alias came after my site, so they kinda go along. But if you get known as an alias that's a reference to some other company or character, it's not a good idea to base your site off of it.

You could work something clever out of your name. Try your initials. Or what's your middle name even?

Do you have a notable character? Or a general theme for your games? Or a favorite intelligent theme?

Maybe you could just modify your alias. Keep the "dream" part but change the "worx" part.

DreamJohansson.com lol

or

flashdream.com
flashdreamer.com

you just need to think a little more, if you're showing regret to picking your username, then it's probably not a good idea to stick with it, because once to make a site it will be a lot harder down the road to change it than to change a username.

I guess that I might be too focused on having my alias in the name, I actually haven't even considered using something that don't.. I doubt that my real name could give any good inspiration in any way though, mostly because it's doesn't sound very English/American (my middle names are Per and Mikael, they are even worse XD).

I will think about it a bit more and see what's available, I can't claim that I have any good ones in mind though..If I don't find anything I guess that dreamworxflash.com isn't all bad at least :P

Christmas Collabs
So does no one in the Armor Games Challenge going for the Christmas part have absolutely no chance in winning. Well, only one game does at least. Just look:
http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/8084 32
-X-Mas Game Collab
http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/8129 43
-12 Games of Christmas Collab
I mean, this is just like saying massive down voting from like thirty people, plus at least three of their friends each, I'd bet their are at LEAST ninety people down voting the other flashes and up voting theirs. This will be really stupid I bet, unless you submit like three weeks early. Well, lets hope that I still have a chance...

Christmas Collab

Armor games should set the limit to people who work on a game in that contest to like... 3. It might suck for some people, but it'll weed out mass portal spamming and huge, crummy collabs.

For the reg collab I think Bezman's split-sentence idea is a good choice. I'm quite fund of it. :3
