Glasses- Contacts
I got contacts in 7th grade and from that point on my eyes kept getting worse. I started out as a -5.0 (pretty bad) and now I wear a -9 (Terrible). I'm hoping by the time I'm 18 I'll be able to get Lasik or lense implants.

Glasses-Contacts
I used to wear glasses but then i got contacts, but then. I started wearing my glasses or contacts undiscrimitively lol if thats even a word...it should be if its not...well anyway my glasses are pretty awesome they have no top to them. Kind of like glasses with no bottom but just opposite.

Indie

There's some indie that really can't fall under the categorie of poprock, like the Dandie warhals (fuck i'm tired not gonna check spelling) had a record deal with capital but their pretty drug rock with a more pop sound. My brother listens to alot of Indie so I get some exposure. Some of its not bad, I have a belle and sebastian song stuck in my head, pretty fucking girly but their pretty good, alot of it is kinda weird lyrics against an upbeat melody. Ok Go was kinda indie till they became huge then their sound kinda changed.

Caffeine Addictions

I've finally accepted mine as a major problem when I had to stop the car I was in to pick up a coke to stop a withdrawl headache. First 3 weeks of summer I'm going to try cold turkey seeing as it doesn't matter if I can't focus and need to lay in the dark, I'm slowly depriving myself now by constantly drinking water. I have a really addictive personality and I was weened on coke so this is a pretty ambitious thing for me to do.

And I'm 100% sure at leaste half of you have varying degrees of caffeine addiction, how'd it start, plan on stopping?

there was a movie a while ago that had rather great animation and used a loop of Verka Serduchka - Dancing Lasha Tumbai... and i have no idea what the name of that movie was... i think it used thta tune anyway, if it didin't i'll be using it in a movie, if it did use that tune, i wont..

Flash topic drought
Has anyone ever gone into an [internet cafe / library / computer room] only to find a load of people playing a game you [made / helped to make]? I recently walked in on a group of people playing Four Second Firestorm. I said to one of them "I made a few of the minigames in that" and he was like "Fuck off, did you". How rude. The people who play the games we make never seem to appreciate how much work we put into it, and how little recognition we get :(

So yeah, people need to appreciate how much time we put into our Flash games/movies :/

The peeps in my communication class play the games I gots on toast arcade and my pixelz site and they appreciate me, and then I am making a stick fight flash during class and everyone is crazy for it even though its just sticks! They only appreciate because they don't get flash and know its hard though...

Appreciation

People take things for granted. Users here expect a high level of quality from NG artists and for the most part they get it. This factor, combined with the number of actual good artists makes users, more specifically the new kids, believe that since there is so many, it must be easy. Which is where the appreciation value is lost and the flashs get taken for granted. What would happen if the portal really was full of duck.fla? Kids would complain that there isn't any good flash and rather complain than encourage.

Now, in a situation like Pixelz's, he's in a situation where he's become a celebrity because he has these websites that many people his age will consider seperated from the norm, they can't do it so they believe it can only be done by some super talented. And the same goes for flash. When you're not used to it, even the most simple app can shock and awe. So, in order to gain appreciation again we have to either strike and not release anything good, or step up the level of quality, or of course just settle with not being appreciated.

Exactley, they are all new to flash and have tried it and they get wowed by what I can do even though I've done it for only a year and I only have two good games which are zelda related.... which is kinda sad.... But they like em all. Plus my sites have games and at school my sites aren't blocked! lol.

Well, done. Thats pretty good for a 15 year old. Stick with it. I started Flash at about 15 and now i'm working with it professionally.
