Whatever. The whole idea of Pennsylvania Dutch is a sign of our own ignorance. They were not people from the Netherlands(Holland) they were from Germany. They were Pennsylvania Deutsch. Hence why I said that he meant German. To differentiate between German's from Germany and Germans from Pennsylvania, who are mistake for Dutch, seems pretty odd to me. Same genes. Being such a mutt, it's safe to assume that the cultural influences has been lost so I can't see that as being the reason why he would list them separately.

Yeah, they actaully got called the Dutch because "Deutsch" was misunderstood, so they called them "Dutch".

And It's still really important to respect them. I don't think I could live as an Amish Menonite.

Irregular tile-based games
I just made a hexagonal tile-based level thingy which worked out surprisingly well, and on my first try. Have any other actionscripters here tried to make irregularly-shaped tiles work? Just wondering o_O Also I felt I should include some English at the risk of being banned.

When was the last time you were banned?

The only time I've been banned was around three years ago. I was needlessly harsh to someone and Afro Ninja did not approve; I've been on the straight and narrow (as of the wide 'n' bendy) ever since.

I was banned a couple a times waaay long ago when I was probably under 1000 posts, cuz I hadn't gotten to used to when to post in a thread that might be threatened by locking. I think I contributed to the spam or something... but I don't think I've been banned for a while now.

Seriously yall quit it with posting in a foreign language.. its a bannable offense .. its an old rule that you've known about for ages and should be taken seriously. even here in this thread.

I'm sure some of you whom have enough experience points have unlocked this secret, where you can post a little message on the frontpage and it appears amongst those important posts. Do any of you guys actually use this feature?

Redesigned levels system

Since pixels is talking about experience.. i know with the redesign comes a batch of new levels and everyone is out leveled to something that matches the new scheme but i fear that i'll no longer be a level one but like level 10 or whatever 34 experience points now equals to.. does anyone know if i should be genuinely frightened about losing my coveted level 1?

I used to...well, every now and then. It really isn't as fantastic as it sounds...with the thousands of users who have this ability, messages aren't up there more than a few minutes and even if it is longer, not so many people are looking for little links that people post in between the front page posts. Or at least...they messages don't seem to be up there very long.

I haven't done it in forever though.

I thought they were like doubling the levels but I might be wrong. I thought they were basically halving the level barrier for each.
I guess we dont know enough about the new system to comment. Why not mail one of the staff and ask?

I did it a few times until I realized that it only stays there for a few minutes and that hardly anyone reads them. =/

I think they will asign a new number of experience points to each new level. So maybe if now with 400 points you pass to level 9 and with 2000 to 10 (to say something).. and with the new levels 1000 is level 10 and 1500 is level 11, there could be a level 9 who becomes a 10 and a 9 who becomes an eleven. I think this way is more fair and accurate than just doubling the levels.

RE: Level System

With the level cap raising to 60, Pimp's experience will be the level 60 amount -- so if the increments work as they do now, everybody should double. I don't know how the sub-10 levels will work, though.
