Judgment Call
So I am once again left with a judgment call and, logically, I turn to the Flash Regs for advice.
My woman just told me how some tickets became available to the Roger Waters(if you don't know who that is your opinion is damn near worthless) concert. He is apparently doing another Darkside tour and the two of us talked about trying to get tickets before. The problem is that the concert is taking place while I'm going to be 11 hours away in Myrtle Beach.
To make matters worse, the tickets would be for her birthday which I'm going to be missing anyway. It's like the perfect reason to stay here for her birthday, instead of going on vacation, but the problem is that I already gave my friends 150 bucks to go with them...not to mention I did promise I would go with them.
As great as seeing Roger Waters in concert would be, with someone who I really love to be around(on her birthday), I can't really pass up a week of vacation with my friends. To anyone who might suggest she come on vacation with me, she can't take a week off of work...
Though, I doubt you guys care, I'd like to hear what you think I should do.

Well, it'd come across as pretty romantic if you took her to it. I'd feel the need to stress the point first at how your holiday is already booked and you've payed, then just surprise her. Bit of a dumb thing to ask us to be fair.

Re: Judgement Call
Don't bail on a friend for a girlfriend's quick change of mind or plans. It may suck to have multiple fun options, but you have an obligation to go with your friend.
Then there's going to be people who are going to say "fuck it, go hang out with your girlfriend." But really, you've plopped down the money for vacation. As much as you might love your girlfriend or the band, you've got plans, and you've made them. It may not inconvenience you to change them, but there's others who may not feel the same way.
Hi there!

This is true. I almost feel like my friends would actually want me to go though. They did invite me to bring her with and they've never even met her.

It's not just about her. We're also talking about the music genius, Roger FUCKING Waters. But besides that, this girl lives over an hour away from me and between both our jobs I may only see her like half a dozen times over the summer.
I know what the right choice is, but I'm afraid of regretting making it.

Judgement Call
Well, you might lose on the concert, but perhaps to cover both bases you go on your vacation with your mates, and you just ask your girlfriend if you can celebrate her birthday early?
If there's one thing that Eminem has taught me, it's that bitches come and go.

Now, who wants to loan me $2500 plus extra for a new computer? :P

Wow. Though, it would take some time to learn every program in there. You'd probably only end up only using 3 or 4 of them on a regular basis.

I suspect mine will end up being one of the regs when we finally have a UK Meetup.
My money's on Kirk.
Re: Judgement Call
There's plenty talk of whippedness in this thread. You're nineteen though - how serious a relationship is this? It might just be something you have to do if this is someone you want to spend a serious amount of time with. At least your girlfriend is into things you enjoy - this problem would be so much worse for you if it was an act you hated.
Both your girlfriend and your friends should be supportive of either of your choices, so long as you do some serious soul searching over it.

Now I'm just a stupid drunk :(

Fair saying: Bros before Hoes.
Honestly, since you already planned to miss her birthday, buy her the tickets as a birthday gift but go with your friends.
Besides, regardless of how awesome Floyd was, I really don't think Waters is in too good a shape. I mean, Live 8/Aid (which ever was last year) was a little disappointing. Besides, I think you'd have more fun with your guy friends than with your gf unless she puts out like a fucking rabbit. Plus, 150 for the beach versus possible 100 for tickets and NOT GOING TO THE BEACH, so more like 250 (if you pay more than 50 bucks a ticket, than you are a faggot).
Just my opinion. I was down at the beach last weekend and it was REALLY nice...
But I got to go with my gf :3

You're retarded.
Judgment Day
That's tough man. But, I think to make it simpler, look at it like this. You and your girlfriend already decided that you wouldn't be able to make it to her birthday. That's a done deal and you planned this trip with both of you full and well knowing that. So, even if there just happens to be a concert on that day, you've made the decision not to go. It's rough, and sure she's not going to be hopping around with glee about it, but that's pretty much what it comes down too. Take her out somewhere nice, and the next time a big concert comes around, you too enjoy that to the full extent.
That make sense?

Madness Day
Is it just me or has alot of threads been popping up around the Flash Forums just because of madness day? Especially ones asking, "omg I can't draw, may I please find a sprite sheet of madness characters?!"
Or is it just me...I really think it's just me.
I just noticed a few threads popping up involving madness day.

I used to love you kirk. Then you insulted my favorite band, or at least one of my favorite bands. Until recently, I didn't know it was even possible to live good music and not like Pink Floyd.
