Vacation

I just got back from vacation from Southern California. Did you miss me? Anyways, I only actually got to stay 3 days, but I had fun anyway. Never got to the beach though. It would have been fun to meet up with other NG Reg Lounge persons. Anything particularly earth-shattering happen while I was away?

It's official, I am on spring break.

And it's 1:20 am on a saturday morning that I need to get up at 8.

The hardest thing I think for flash is doing character design, how do you guys do it?

Well... you guys think thats a horrible way to start off, but I find it efficient, I'll post it later when its halfway done so you guys can comment. XD

I think its just so much easier when you have a good reference of the size.

Okay, forget about my earlier newbieness. I'll start fresh. It looks pretty great from the screen shot, it'd be a great engine if you could get it to work. The closet thing i think i can relate to it is 'De Blob', where you have to roll around and paint buildings, t'was quite fun :).

We couldn't see a video/demo could we, i'm intrigued :).

Time Zones
The time zones are really starting to annoy me. I don't really get to be on the BBS when most of the other good people are on. The hours I'm on have just started becoming the flaming hours, I do of course contribute in my own way so I am a big one to blame, but it's starting to get ridiculous. Threads are going on for several pages with people just calling one another gay and bad at flash.

It brings a tear to my eye :'(

I've actually noticed that a bit. It's not necessarily the timezones, but rather the group of people who are on. Nonetheless, I feel like there is enough good to balance out the bad. The forums are relatively slow in the wee hours of the morning (EST), but if it's slow then, you can usually get on a few hours earlier.

so i exported a 48 seocnd flash for my bro to use for uni < yes i did his uni work for him.. sigh> and it was 519mb.. resaved as wmv < mvoie maker>.. 2.9mb.. yippe!

Old friend, new animation

Recenlty meet up with an old firned who is alos into animaiton, sotp motion really.. after seeing a few of his stuff, i've concluded he is quite amazing...

so thats 3 people from my year who got into animating... out of 100... i'm 1/100 :D!

Lagged out my computer quite a lot, then I couldn't even get round to uninstalling it because of various problems.. that was irritating as hell and it didn't even look nice :/

Re-using sprites

Say if someone were to make a set of sprites, then go make several games with them, would this be wrong in your view, a sponsors view, and a moral view?

it'd be fine.. hell.. zonic advance uses basicly the same sprites.. zelda ont he n64 yused the same models..

I think personally you'd feel like a bit of a cheat. Like say if you just kept releasing simillar games, just with new levels with nothing to them. I'm not to sure what sponsors would make of that either..

Bit Torrents

I've finally submitted and downloaded one of these bit torrents. Lucky for the internet my connection sucks so I can't feast on its secret delights. I have been downloading shit for like 5 hours and the amount complete is about 1% per hour. I gave up on two slower downloads already...
