Well you can always email tom Fulp (or pm) and ask him if you can have the name. Blaze was taken but by the cleanup, i asked Tom if i could have it and he was "Your new username is now blaze!"

my original name was kirehashi... i took it from mortalkombat deathly alliance.it is reptiles sword.. after a while i tought it sounded too japanese for me.. so i wanted something girlish (pink) and tought (skull)... i got the idea from my pink vans with skull XD... tho my original idea was to be something dragon.. because i love draogns XD but never found anything that sounde right.. so i sticked with pinkskull.. i have tought of some other stuff.. (cruxis, emperatrice) and other stupid stuff.. but since people in here had started to know me.. i had decided to stick with this name.. XD. until yesterday

that techno group isnt even in ares >:(.. but i guess they are more popular than me :(

After careful consideration with my own name, I would advise everyone just to keep their old names, unless the variation is minute enough to not confuse people. Last thing we want is a flood of new names, where everyone is different. Sure, its cool to wear a nice costume name for a while, but when it comes down to it, your usual name is going to be the label of your identity.

I used to play Diablo 2 obsessively, and I saw some druid with a name like 'drkmna' or something. 'Darkmana' just popped into my head as the closest word(s), and I thought it was cool. Thence forth it has been my dominant alias. For a couple of things I use darkvizier, also inspired by Diablo 2 (The Grand Vizier of Chaos...).

As you can see I'm not very original when it comes to thinking up an identity.

My original name used to be BigLiLDog538 because I was a kid who liked oxymorons and thought it was a funny and cool screen name. Then I wanted a change and I needed something cool at the time and sinc e"darkness" and stuff like that was cool I named myself TrueDarkness, which has absoloutely no meaning or value. Hello :)

Jmtb02, I think that's a little different. It's sort of like C3PO, it says nothing, but you accept it as a name.

I think my name is quite a silly sounding one, but I don't want to change it and it wouldn't cross my mind. It's my nickname, so it's just normal.

Tablet

Tablets make shit so much quicker. And through this it feels alot more fluent just basically because you're going faster. Can definetly see an improvement, just so much more natural. Because it's just alot easier and quicker my sketch of the character came out alot better too, which helps realise the animation and perfect it a tad more.

I'd recommend one, even if it's not for animating.. it's nice to move around the screen with. I was playing that mouse game on the FP earlier, fun :).

I know, every time I say 'DarkMana' it just sounds... unnatural. I know I really need a better name, but I haven't been able to think of any decent ones.

I'm actually considering Volarin, the name of a character I thought up a while ago. I think it sounds pretty cool and original, but I'm not so sure. I do need to drop DarkMana, though.

... and Masterswordman, you should really change your name. Not only is it unoriginal, but it doesn't roll off the tongue very well, either. MasterSwordsman would be cool, it flows nicely and doesn't make me think of Legend of Zelda; plus people would still recognize you.

For me it isn't a matter of professionalism. I'm not trying impress anybody, I'm just here to chat and submit flash. When I'm on the bbs I don't imagine that I'm talking to people in suits, ties, and shiny shoes. Sure I could change my alias to Michael-Lange and sound all professional, but seriously, how boring. Why wouldn't I use a creative alias on a creative website?

Right! isnt the point of aliases not giving up your real names.. and maybe add something of your personality (real word??) on your aliases? I mean TheSuperFlashBros are one of the best animators in here and the name doesnt sound like <insert profesional name>.. here is to have fun.. i guess people worry about professional names at the time of submitting...
