idea
hi..em..i wasnt quite sure of posting this but ill do it...
last night i had a deram (actually a nightmare. i must confess) and when iwoke up i tought it could be a nice flash idea.. i mean to animate.. i dont know exactly how to explain it coz my dreams are really weird.. the main idea was that people had visions.. like lets say you had a vison of a window.. when that person saw the window. . 'e died.. i tought that i could maybe make a plot with it and make an animation.. do you think it would be a good idea? would pepople like it? should i better look for something more humoristic? or make the classic funny scary movie?. im out of humoristic ideas atm...

i ussually had lots of ideas. but now that i have flash and CAN animate them.. boom.. they're
gone..

well the original idea is in a dark eerie setting (like a school..lol) but maybe some could thik it would be nice of comedy... i prefer the dark eerie setting.. now i just need to make up the plot.. and the characters... and animate.. and find sounds..hmm. is a long way..

I love the idea. And I refuse to watch anything and say it's good unless there is comedic value to it. Not that it's a comedy, those are ridiculous and over the top and good for nothing but laughter, but there HAS to be some sort of joke or something in there. Life is funny, and humour crops up in the weirdest situations, and I think good film needs to reflect that.

Funnily enough, the Tutorial Collab Sort of Came to me in my sleep. I'm not sure how, or why, but it did :P.

i think it's a great idea, too.

regarding the humor in it, it should be the uncomfortable kind, like trying to lighten up a seemingly hopeless situation. if you've seen Shaun of the Dead, a somewhat good example of this is in the midst of the zombie attack at the pub. when Ed, Shaun, and Liz are all in the basement and Ed is dying, he apologizes out of nowhere, which confuses Shaun because of the odd timing of it, from a fart.

Hmm, good concept, reminds me of something I've read, but I can't remember what. My advice would be to keep it short - starting a project is easy, finishing is hard, especially when your next big idea's already arrived. I'd go with something along the lines of; setup the concept with 2 or 3 deaths in this fashion, then show the final guy having a vision of some boobs or something. Something different that provides the humour, either in punchline form (ie end it there) or as a set up to a funny situation.

Got a lot of cool stuff this year. All the games I asked for were old ones I've never played - can you believe I've never played or even watched Halo until last night! I got Kirby's Power Paintbrush (Canvas Curse for you US guys) for DS, which is cool. Other than a few games, I got a cordless VoIP phone so I have my own land-line now, some Discworld books, a few other books and some chocolate.

And I'm clearly not going to link to my new game...

I despise Halo. It's the most amateur piece of rubbish game. It basically just assumes shiny = good or something, but I've seem 2 or 3 teens at my school put toegther a more well thought out game with a better story.

And Deep Sea Zebra was just spot on.

and well in my dream i had a vision of a bunch of santaclauss' carrying a guy dressed as supermario.. i was about to find out how the hell that was supposed to kill me.. ( i was cared tho..but well curiosity). when i woke up.. itell you.. my dreams are weird and stupid.. once i dreamt a giant eel was chasing me.. at least i have something to work on now^^

I saw something like that in a goosebumps book when I was younger... except I'm pretty sure they just died. Anyway, it doesn't really seem that hard to animate if you take it slow.

complete sleep disorder

I am officially awake at night and at night only. without school, this isn't a huge deal, but i need to fix is by the time school's back in.

anyone else developing a sleep disorder over break?

I have chronic insomnia, but it's not because of break. It's cuz I do.

As far as i can remember it's always been a problem to me. Not while im on vacations but when school is on its a total trouble. I have to get up at 4:30 AM if i want to take a bath before catching the bus for school. School starts at 7:10 :\ i ussually go to bed (on school days) at 9/10pm. But its useless since i end up falling asleep at around 2 AM. On break i go to bed at 1AM because it's awesome to hang out at nights, and then i fal asleep around 5 AM. But since i wake up really late its not a problem :D

On school days though, im ALWAYS tired.

on break i can sleep around 10-12 hours a day, but on school days, i rarely even get 3. i assume it's just from all the stresses of going to school and all that. i once got 20 minutes of sleep \:

weirdly enough, i'm usually hyper by lunchtime, even with a horrendous lack of sleep.

on break, i usually go to bed around 1-2 in the morning and wake up around noon.
