RE: Smoking
Tried once a cig, but as TD said i didn't get addicted because i'm not that stupid. Tried it this year when i was out with some friends at another friend's house. Conveniently he has a lot of whine and beer and whatnot. So after all the booze the guy offered a cig so i was like "k". But i'm not addicted, that's the good thing.
Yea, underage drinking isn't exactly penalized by law here. If a cop sees you, just give him a beer and you're off the hook.
never gotten caught, though.

You mean other than to look cool? =P Peer persure/they've heard good things/to experiment etc. You only get one life so might aswell try (ALMOST) everything once before you die; "Everything in moderation", and all that.
If I were to smoke, I honestly don't think I would get addicted. It's another part of my theory on smartness. Just tell yourself to stop, is it that hard?
lol, it probably is. I find Alcohol and Gambling much more addiciting anyway. Smoking is too expensive to get addicited to IMO.

Yes it is that Hard to Stop
well honestly dark some of your post have offended me despite there nieve wording. Some drugs are Physically addicting, meaning that your body ends up needing them to survive. A sever case of this is heroin, which after time your body believes it physically needs and without proper help you can DIE from the withdrawl symptoms.
While other drugs are mentally addicting, such as pot. Your body doesn't physically need it to operate your brain is more convinced that you do, which with enough will power you can stop, not that pot is that hard to quit using.
And to the peer pressure thing, do you honestly know one person who has tried something by being pressured into it. Load of crap, out of the many regular drug users i know none of them have tried it due to "peer pressure".
Also the first time you try a substance you are not going to get addicted, not to say you can't hurt yourself, you never know what the real strength of that heroin is or what else is in that crack rock as "filler". But the first time you pick up a cig you are not going to crave them constantly. Frankly you'll prolly cough your lungs out the first time.
Thought i'd throw in my 2 cents on the whole drug thing. sorry if i brought back an old idea, i was reading the last couple pages

RE: Yes it is that Hard to Stop
I didn't mean to offend you in anyway. I do know about physical dependence and psycological dependence, but while your body might be physically addicted, there is rehab center that you can attend to help you to stop the addiction.
I expect my wording to be nieve as well, seeing as how I've never done drugs, because I'm not that stupid to try them, really, no offence.
I also know that peer pressure thing isn't BS because I know a sped in my school who started hanging out with a bad group of kids, and got addicted to smoking.
Well, there are many different views on it, so I won't argue.

RE: Smoking
All I'll say on that matter is not everyone is this trapped human being or whatever. I like smoking socially, i have no problem with it. I dont feel i need to quit and I'm perfectly happy with all my habits, bad or good ones. I originally started smoking to spite my parents and feel like breaking rules and giving the finger to the good life. i like my rockstar lifestyle, i dont mind dying at the top of my game and i like to just live life and ask questions later.
Anyway passing judgement on anyone and or their habits is stupid to me. If you dont smoke fine good for you. Leave people that do alone, not everyone wants to be 'saved'.

Smoking and your Health
Well, i have never actually smoking and i have no intentions to do it. But I think drinking is a worse habit... when people smoke they dont lose their mind.. Anyway, my greatGrandFather smoked all his life and died of somethind that hadnt anything to do with it.. so its depends on each ones health.. it is also more harmful to be a passive smoker than an active one.. so if everyone around you smokes.....

Smoking
I'm surprised I got such a large response from that, but it shouldn't be too surprising seeing as the alcohol topic went on for pages. Just a few final thoughts before I let it die, cause its may damn topic and I want to repsond to some of these things people said.
1. Who smokes more: I'd certainly say girls smoke more. I think they're a lot more desperate to fit in.
2. Taste: I'll agree that cigarettes taste nasty, but that has a lot to do with brands and variety. I smoke Djarum Black cloves cigarettes and I think they taste damn nice, they even put special sauce on the filter to make your lips taste nice.
3. Addiction: You'll never get addicted to cigarettes (or most other things) the first time you try it. In fact you'll probably hate it. More importantly, addiction only comes from smoking regularly anyway. I still get a craving for a cigarette sometimes, but its when I'm really stressed out by an assignment I have due in the morning or something along those lines, helps me calm down.
4. Cancer: I wouldn't worry about getting cancer from smoking for various reasons. But more importantly than any other is that if you're really concerned you can just smoke pot. Now the fact that you upbringing has effectively brain washed you against drinking and smoking, you probably wouldn't even think of smoking pot. Your loss, I'm personally not a fan of the stuff, but the THC in pot kills cancer causing cells in your lungs and throat.
Christmas Shopping
I went with a friend of mine and I bought the few things I need. My brother and his fiance get nothing because they moved to Oregon. My mom shipped from something with me and my sister's names on it. So that left my mom, my dad, and my sister. Then I bought something for my two friends and ended up spending more on each of their gift's than my family's. My friend knows what I'm giving him and I know what hes getting me because we were standing next to each other when we picked the things out, I'm trying to get him to read The Sandman graphic novel series, and so I told him I was getting him one. Then he bought me the next one in the series I don't have.

Game Preview , Comments Needed
Here's a short demo of my new game, "Turret Warfare". Tell me what you think so far, any improvements of current stuff or things you'd like to see added.
I know it's basic, not very advanced, and that it has it's fair share of glitches, but i still need some ideas. I'm going to add more enemies/powerups, but ideas for them are still greatly appreciated :).

RE: Snow
I fell your pain. It is usually very cold and snowy in my country. But this year is completely black. It snowed once 3 days ago and by now it has all melted. No white X-mas for me.
RE: Game preview
The intro looked fancy, but from there on...
The text was so tiny that I could hardly read it and the genre is quite overused. The enemies vere practically impossible to destroy before they could fire in your direction.

Snow? No.
Sadly, it rained all through yesterday. No snow at all. Its been a funny winter. Either its 60 degrees out or its 20 degrees. Rained a few times though. Its annoying. I want a god damn white Christmas.
Windows Theme
If any one recalls my CD-rom drive not working, apparently its from downloading windows themes. Same thing caused volume control to go away. Finally got it cleared up though. Still having problems with what I assume is my video card though...oh well. Too lazy to call up dell again. Moral of the story is, don't download windows themes.

Rofl. Down here every single party ever (even if its a sweet 16 or something party for a girl) has something to drink. By that i mean wine, beer, or anything. (: Its like the most common thing. Next to underage smoking...
been there done that
