So I'm thinking of getting back into flash. Any animators here feel like making a game?

EA's site bugs out: Free games

At the moment, EA has fucked itself over and it's website thinks that if you add Mercinaries 2, Mirrors Edge and Dead space to your basket then it bugs out and says it costs nothing :D Totally legal as it's their website that's broken.

Defo works in Britian, you might need a proxy for everyone else.

Premeptive pics or it didn't happen.

That's someone else's screeny so don't judge from the open tabs lol.

Definitely works, I looked again after you posted to double check. It has to be those three specific games in English, via download, but it could be specific to Britain, so if you live outside use a British proxy. I've already done it, it definitly works.

meh I downloaded mirror's edge and deadspace already and besides those games are pretty average. If you want to get games for free there are easier ways ..

also, links to /b/ will disappear in minutes, so it's kinda useless to post it as proof :p

I have a simple flash idea, I'm going to make it, do I use AS3 or AS2? Assuming I have no knowledge of either, want to do it quickly and I'm mediocre at programming.

Sounds like a very typical scenario for using AS2.

If you know some OOP from another language you might want to go with AS3 though.

If the project will never be touched again, AS2. Its not like you can't do bad programming that cuts corners in AS3 (which is what simple, fast and mediocre normally requires happening), but its a less forgiving environment for it.

If the code's ever going to be reused for something else, OOP at a minimum, but either version handles that. Only when runtime speed or when essential FP9+ features are required does AS3 become mandatory.

haha cool. it seems like the sag on his right cheek is a bit bigger than the one on the left. and the ear is sticking out a bit too far and a bit too low down by his neck. try raising that up to eye-nose level. otherwise i like all the line work you did!
