What'd everyone think of the hour long program at how to loose £5,000 on a roulette wheel? I just laughed for like 5 minutes straight :D Quite a few conspiracy theories going round, but I don't believe them.

If he was right people would just say it was faked in some way, anyway. It wouldn't be a massive surprise if it was on purpose to make it more believable, although it didn't really have that effect.

I caught the last 10 minutes of it, where he's set up in the van. What happened before?

I was laughing at the poor bloke who lost 5k (granted, he was going to get it back).

Yea immoral people never get ahead in business.

I'll treat that like sarcasm...

Plenty of examples recently of immoral people getting their come-uppance: Bernie Madolf, Enron, Balloon mortgages, John Edwards, Blagojevich, Mark Sanford, to name a few.

Not to say that cheaters NEVER prosper, but from my experience and observations, any successes they achieve are fleeting in the LONG run.

i was arguing with some girl which place is better to submit your art, newgrounds or deviantart. she kept on saying about how there are a bunch of professional artists and deviantart and none on newgrounds.

of course she had never been to newgrounds art portal and i'd been to devart so it was a lot easier for me than her. everytime she tried to say something bad about newgrounds i proved her wrong.

lol.

I can probably guess 90% of the arguement was ''that site's nothin but a anime porn site'' atleast thats what someone at my school said when I mentioned it to him to which I wish I replied "and how would know that kind of stuff is on Newgrounds you?" Sigh I wonder what gets this brilliant site such a bad reputation.

Meh the site still has a long ways to go towards fully shedding its roots. NG was notoriously known for being more about anime porn / whatever... and it probably still is in some circles. So its a neverending uphill battle to change first impressions. Who knows, the site may never change those impressions. I think the appeal for me is that im an actual person here on the site, if i want to i can drop the owner of the site a PM and get replied to at some point. Theres something more welcoming when the sites owner is mixing it up with everyone else. You dont see deviantart ceo making his own paintings or reaching out to his users. Its just a faceless website. Thats fine for artists not interested in a more 'mom and pop' type of establishment which i've always considered ng to be. Everythings made from scratch and with the userbase in mind.

On the subject of DeviantArt, Stamper really said it best:

"As far as I saw, the "negative" reviews for this movie aren't as devastating as you made them out to be. They seem more like honesty to me. People on NG can be dicks, agreed - but they aren't like your DA people...primarily consisting of chubby girls addicted to Cowboy Bebop, Zelda, and Pocky - struggling daily to draw the perfect anime character with their "How to Draw Manga" book written by an American, so they can post their shitty and lopsided sketches all over their personal page. DeviantArt is a dumping ground. Everything is accepted, everyone has a nice and polite smile - because everyone there thinks they're an artist and needs respect and praise in return. NG is an entertainment site. We cater to millions of people, who watch, tell you what they think, and leave. That honest, that simple. Flash production, much like the video game industry, is growing at a rate so rapid that the bar is raised almost daily for production values, artwork, animation, humor, and more. Your bar is roughly 4 years lower, on all aforementioned subjects." -http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/3 15613 from his review here

Anyways, I agree with what Luis said. It has a reputation for sure, but the personal touch and interaction with a creative community is what brings me back.

What songs/films/poems/etc make you feel better on a sad day? For me it's Jaked on Green Beers. Whenever I listen to it, it's like a big "fuck you" to all the people I hate. LOL.

So what did everyone think of the game.
