No it's not.

These words have inspired me.
I love whiskey. I picked up a bottle of Crown Royal after class yesterday. I got class tomorrow, but a lil' hangover will be nothin'. It's sitting for an hour and 20 mins listening to a crazy prof talk about modern poetry and quantum mechanics once and a while.

Now everyone in the lounge - my flash peers!
Do me a huge fav and test out this lil' tutoreal for my upcoming next game. (The game over screen was the first thing I made sure that worked this time. :P)

Ok. I'm coming to Winnipeg either later this year or after winter - most likely sometime after december when I'm off uni. We'll have to arrange some stuff but ya, it'll be sweet. Even if theirs no meet up I'll come just to get drunk with Duchednier! :D

It's true though, NG isn't exactly a site the average flash developer would care to visit since it's full of rude and immature little kids (or at least 99% of it is)
Tom's been doing a pretty good job of getting out of that whole feel, though. I've no idea how someone could go about improving the image of Newgrounds on a global scale - it's really a pioneering site and a force for massive good on the Flash scene and nobody seems to care.

I think we should make a massive movie/game to show each artists talents we can combine the art portal for backgrounds and still images, audio portal for music, flash portal for programing (if it's a movie we'll need programers for file size reduction and making the movie work) and animation, and writers from... Their userpage? It shows what the entire site has to offer.

You can say that the massive collab's stamper and johnyutah make are the showcases but their just parody's and do not incorporate all talents.

I'm saying it now - if their ain't going to be a NG meet close to my parts in B.C. Canada then I'm going to be the sucker to host and pay for it. Assuming I can round up enough people to go also assuming people would come, fly, or actually live in the general area.

i live in BC and the closest thing to a meet i've been to is PAX.

no way, maybe back in the day when sim dates covered the front page, but a lot of people from deviantart are coming over. and the bbs community has gotten better

Look at the results of the recent demographic. It's still full of kids, not really a real flash community as such. By that I mean it's not for professionals, and that's why hardly anyone in the industry knows of it.

Coding and Baseball

Does anyone here like to code while having a baseball game on in the background?
To me it seems like a great idea to keep yourself entertained without distracting you from coding.

The crazy thing is, if it wasn't for the anime porn ads that used to infest the site, there may not be a NG today. (read the history of NG if you're confused, its totally in there)

Working with sports on in the background is almost the very best setup for me, unless it's a game that I'm too interested in of course.

Well, I guess I'm welcoming myself back to the Flash scene. First finished my first Flash product of mine in years (but still to a massive extent of lazyness). Forgot how great of a program it is, infinite possibilites. :D

None of you wont even remember me for any of my trolling. :<

Had a dream last night, influenced by time fcuk. I was driving two cars at the same time, switching from one to another to keep them on the road. One of them was a sedan and the other was a van pulling a small camper or storage thing. I was driving on a road that I recognized really well. I ended up crashing both cars in a pretty violent way so that one ended up 100 meters away from the other. Some obnoxious woman came over to make sure I didn't run away and screw the driver of the van. I was trying very hard to not give away the fact that I had been teleporting between both cars to drive them, which made for very awkward conversation because I couldn't go over and see if the van driver was alright because he didn't exist.

the end.

Judging by the context I'd say you're not talking about real football :p

Judging by the context I'd say I was making a reference to kanye west that seems to have missed... truthfully I don't enjoy watching sports that much, watching american football is more entertaining than watching football for me though, but the degree of difference isn't that large. Football is pretty interesting because it's one of the few sports I've played in a semi competitive way so I understand more of what is going on, but american football generally feels more fast paced and like there is more going on. Also there you silly euros, I talked about the two types of football without using the s word. =PPP
