I'd keep going with it, be careful with level design though, i noticed quite a few of the puzzles from braid and i've only played the demo.

I pretty much took the 1st level from Braid, but the others are purely my ideas and my design. That's another reason why I'm tired of it - I'm terrible at level design. As you can see I only have 3 levels :/ I made a bunch more but I ended up deleting a lot of stuff because I didn't like it. However I'd hate to give up on it because I thought this was truly going to be "the one" project that I would finally finish. I already put so much work into it

Yeah don't give up on it, you're onto something here. You could expand it into something price of persia style, with some simple combat mechanics. I think the next thing you should do is get an artists though, so you can progress and develop any level designs/ideas you have properly.

although the frame rate chugs along at times, I found this game very playable. I can't wait to see the rest of the game. Are you going to add robots?

It does rather rely on my knowing in advance roughly how many people are going to buy, though. Any ideas?

Depending on how much of a crafts person you are, maybe you could consider putting together stuff like the Alien hominid plushes that were on sale? I mention that, because Nathan researched it, found a way to streamline his process, got his materials and threw together 100 of them. Used the ng store to handle the storefront end and it panned out to be the fastest selling item ever on the store. I have artsy friends who've also done really well on that front using etsy.com

I think t-shirts are a tough item to start off with. Because usually unless you screen print them yourself youre going to need to invest in a run of 70 shirts or so. I had to do that for the first sketchbook tour and i still ended up with like 10 or so leftover. Whereas if i went with an item that didnt rely on different body sizes i may have been able to get rid of em all.

I'd sell mouse pads. No sizes or anything and people just love to customize their computer space. Or backpacks.

No, you should just not bother spamming going "OH I HOPE I'VE GOT xxxxx POST". Does it really matter that much? It's just the same as every other post. It's as stupid as posting "First post" and nothing else in a news post.

I hope I get it on accident ;)

Enough of that, more of browser discussion.

I was wondering what browsers you all use. IE sucks, everyone knows that.

I personally use Google Chrome, as it doesn't have all the extra (tool)bars, and the tabs are really good.
As my screen isn't THAT big, I can now look at bigger websites because I've got space to spare at my browser.

I don't see the point in getting the 50.000th post. If you actually do get it, then what? There's no reward, it's not like you're going to go down in history, we're going to forget about it in the next couple pages. You're not going to be remembered forever. Will being the only one with the 50.000th post make you feel special? It's a stupid goal.

I also use Chrome. It's mainly the speed that sold it for me, but I also love the design of it too. It has a few flaws, being so early into it's life, but it's a solid browser, prettier than any of the others and faster than both IE and Firefox (never tried Opera or Safari). I don't just mean javascript speed or page loading, just in general.

About the 50,000th post - wow, there have already been several posts commenting on how unimportant it is. I agree, but it goes to show how useless most of those 50,000 posts have been :) Whoever said "I bet there's at least 5 people who will try to get it" - if you meant out of the people that come here regularly, then you obviously don't come here often enough! I don't believe that many of us are that shallow as to care.

I use Safari. I would use Chrome but for some reason, when I open it and type something in the address bar thing and press enter...Nothing happens. Like for some reason it just doesn't want to go to the website and it just acts like I didn't press enter.

Also, getting the 50,000th post is pointless, but also something I want to do >:)

Talking of Chrome.. has anyone else had it randomly not listen to addresses you enter in the address bar. It'll look like it's loading but it'll never load. But if you click a link on a page it'll load perfectly. I've had to restart a few times 'cause of that. But I do love the interface which is the thing that sells it to me more than the speed. More programs should adopt the simple interface, I HATE having loads of clutter with buttons I never use as I just use short cuts instead.

Animation. It's a slow process on its own... and the more ya seem to put into it the slower the process takes.
But is trading time for better quality the only way to archieve better quality? No. Their must me other ways, different ways, worse ways, and better ways. However running the extra lap and bein' chill with it... takin' your time and makin' it look real nice - that seems to be the best option I've been abusing lately.

So much time though. The remake of DudersEp2 is is goin' to take twice as long to make. I miss makin' shorts, but shorts would make more sense with the episodes and story out there.

Work, work, work... wait... can't work. Fuck. I got a bunch of bottles to take in to the depo, then liquer to buy, and then poeple to chill with, then work, then sleep, then more work. Yes.. work... work...
Ya gotta work more poeple! WORK!

Animating crazy - it sinks in after a while.
