In other news, do be careful with your passwords. I know that goes without saying but, nobody, and i mean nobody should be asking you to login or disclose your password in an email, PM, or instant message. Check links before you click on them. And for god sakes dont use the same password for everything. I never bothered to change my pw for years and i finally got haxored and it pretty much was a domino effect.
As usual report any suspicious activity.
domain name-related encrypted passwords ftw
I have pretty similar variants of the same password for the sites i registered to long ago, or just those that I use most like NG, youtube, email, etc. If you find yourself registering to a ton of websites and you don't wanna memorize many different variants, a nice way is to choose a personal part of the password like "wsxyz" and then add to it something that depends on the domain name. Like the initials of the domain name except 1 key to the right (on your keyboard), so A is S, R is T, etc. that gives you "wsxyzmh" for NG, and all you have to memorize is a string of 3-4 letters that you use for every website. and some sites ask for numbers too, so you can add like the ASCII of the initials in octal. That's imo a very secure password that is also easy to remember, because all you have to do is memorize 1 small part and then apply the dynamic part just by looking at the website name. very fast and efficient
