Help me fix my internets

Well, I can't connect to the internet on my PC (which I'm obviously not using now - before some smartarse points that out).

In this house we've got a router which connects us to the internet, and wireless connections between that and everything else, including this PC and mine. Everything else is working perfectly well.

According to the only piece of software that's bothering to diagnose things for me, Xfire, it's a problem with my DNS not being able to resolve things or something like that. This is somewhat confusing, since I tried the DNS servers which are already working on this PC and they didn't help things at all.

Anyway, apart from the few hours of research I've been doing I'm useless when it comes to internet and network connections. Any suggestions for diagnosing or fixing the problem? I'm a bit suspicious that the ITS department back at university messed my shit up with their bizarre selection of proxies and probing to make sure our computers don't have anything contagious.

If nothing else I'm happy if someone can just point out the easiest way of totally reinstalling all my network junk.

You should try PMing Tim about it, he helped me with my network issues from my laptop last week .... he was like the computer guy on SNL, i was struggling, and he was like 'moooooove', and he punched up a bunch of shit on my keyboard and it was magically fixeddd

Try resetting the router, it may be that they've blocked a port, if you reset it it will change the ports aswell. There should be a pinhole on your router somewhere which will do that. If that doesn't work, most likely your right and the uni has changed something.

it's actually quite easy. at one point there was this forty-five year old bald guy who was arguing with me. at the beginning he actually had good insults (even though he was trying to sound intelligent), but towards the end he was just using regular name calling. last thing he said he referenced GTA with a 'i'll break your neck like a pencil' and then logged off.

STW was down for a little while, so at least I found an alternative uploader.. And fell in love with it :)

Nothing wrong with STW really, it's just that SwfCabin isn't at all as cluttered with stuff around the actual swf. Makes mah stuff look sexy.

It happens more and more on the NGBBS forum 2 (AKA Flash forum). People get on the forums, say they've got a problem, someone else gives a code and says "That should do it.".
