My stage is a different size, its the right shape that I want.. I resize the v-cam to fit it and it is stretched.
I resize it inside the symbol and it's still munted.
And when it is finally the right shape it lags like shit.
This one flash movie I needed it for, is the only one that it lags in, so maybe it's just the amount of detail in my stupid animation..

Hmm that sounds a bit strange. Depending what Flash you use, you could send it to be if your not to bothered?

i would but i'm kinda anal about showing things before its done.. I think the problem is the backgrounds, they are many trees, not bitmaps or..
Actually. I just forgot to turn bitmap caching on,

turned it on on the backgrounds, and it doesnt lag anymore..
its just weird, because it only lagged when I had v-cam on, it was on the top layer, it ran REALLY slow, I took off vcam, and it didnt lag at all, so I dont know why the background was causing the lag in vcam....

I seem to have fixed it now, Thank you for joltin my brain into thinking of turning it on.
I've been trying for a few days now to fix it.

Did you try using the v-cam that comes in the form of an extension? I preferred that one over the v-cam because you can rotate it and shit, some guy at cold hard flash forums refreshed the version that used to exist at fat-pie. Havent tried it out but it has support from flash 9-cs3

When you're using bitmap caching make sure not to bitmap cache any symbols that change - only static things (so just the background usually), otherwise it will lag more. The lag started for me when it zoomed into the character, if that helps.

I have a question for you thuggish reggish people. The last two things I've uploaded had some raster graphics that were perfectly sized to the stage. They look great in the swf, until I upload them to NG. Once uploaded, these assets tend to look like the anti-aliasing is all messed up. Does anyone know why this happens?

its possible the publish settings has the jpg quality set low.. the default setting usually sucks, same with the audio quality, if you leave it at default itll sound terrible.
