New Year's resolutions

- Learn to touch type

- Finish the game that constituted my last New Year's resolution.

That's interesting, I could've sworn everyone could do that. My 60 years old physics teacher made a whole fuss about it when she saw me typing and it was really annoying, she asked me what program I used to learn it because her son and herself had to download a program for that, but I never "learnt" it, it just came naturally. Maybe that's one of the side effects of having 20 posts per day on NG as an 11 year old :P I've always been able to pull 120wpm easily, and I don't even use the same stuff that wikipedia has about touch typing. I usually have my left hand on WASDF and space, or AWERT and space, and my right hand on P, L, ', shift/enter and space too.

I have only one resolution this year:

Go with gut feeling, and stick with it, as it pertains to fussybutt clients. You know what I mean? Someone who calls you up for a job, and you can just tell, over the phone, that they are type-A, cheapskate, tightwad, micro-managing, douchebag, turd burglar. I gotta be more firm about telling these suckas to seek professional help elsewhere. Last year had way too many encounters with folks like this. No more.

:)

WHAT?! That's ridiculous, I think. I just wikipedia'd wpm and apparantly a word is 5 characters/key strokes, so it's very possible I do 100+ wpm, but whenever I do tests online (there are no good ones :/ anyone recommend any?) I always get ~90, which is still nice. I totally attribute Newgrounds to teaching me to touch type, though I can't remember ever not being able to, I probably was able to do it efficiently at ~14.

Sup, bitches :)

Web forums and chat programs are probably the best way to learn to type. I took a typing class in middle school before I REALLY discovered the internet (Cartoonnetwork.com and Nick.com don't count), and couldn't get over 30wpm. After discovering AIM, NG, dA, etc., I could type 30wpm with one hand.

Thanks, internet, for teaching me more than I ever wanted to know about life.

I agree. Here let me show off my typing skills by doing 300 wpm of the declaration of independence.

Yesterday night, I spent it on Steam chat with Fluffkomix while we exchanged jokes about Glaiel and I watched South Park episodes online. Nice.

Ya crashed my brain duder.
Well, in several days when it triggers.

Oh shit, we all got 7 days to live. It's like that movie but now just with people on the internet.
My goodness.... we're all doomed. We'll have to kill ourselves before we crash - I suggest maddoxs suggestion of eating a bathtube of beans - it's one of the most manly ways to do it.

Glaiel enters a bar, so the bartender, a negative 0 asks "Why the long face?", to which Glaiel replies "You don't exist because Signed zero is zero with an associated sign. In ordinary arithmetic, %u22120 = 0. However, in computing, some number representations allow for the existence of two zeros, often denoted by %u22120 (negative zero) and +0 (positive zero). This occurs in some signed number representations for integers, and in most floating point number representations. The number 0 is usually encoded as +0, however it can be represented by either +0 and %u22120.
The IEEE 754 standard for floating point arithmetic (presently used by most computers and programming languages that support floating point numbers) requires both +0 and %u22120. The zeroes can be considered as a variant of the extended real number line such that 1/%u22120 = %u2212%u221E and 1/+0 = +%u221E, division by zero is only undefined for ±0/±0.
Signed zero echoes the mathematical analysis concept of approaching 0 from below as a one-sided limit, which may be denoted by x %u2192 0%u2212, x %u2192 0%u2212, or x %u2192 %u21910. The notation "%u22120" may be used informally to denote a negative number that has been rounded to zero. The concept of negative zero also has some theoretical applications in statistical mechanics and other disciplines.
It is claimed that the inclusion of signed zero in IEEE 754 makes it much easier to achieve numerical accuracy in some critical problems,[1], in particular when computing with complex elementary functions.[2] On the other hand, the concept of signed zero runs contrary to the general assumption made in most mathematical fields (and in most mathematics courses) that negative zero is the same thing as zero. Representations that allow negative zero can be a source of errors in programs, as software developers do not realize (or may forget) that, while the two zero representations behave as equal under numeric comparisons, they are different bit patterns and yield different results in some operations."

THE END

I know I didn't even remove the [2], [1], etc. as it's obvious I cpoied from Wikipedia.
Ugh

why is glaiel so cold-blooded. Because when he was little he experienced a coup in his mansion. He even saw his parents get decapitated. To this day he has not recovered and he can't even look straight foreward. He has no trust for anyone because the person who killed his parents was his best friend's father. Oh, and he is a lizard.

Why does Glaiel seldomly go to the beach?

Because he has sine and cosine to get a tan and has no need of trivial entities like the sun!

That game was loads of fun, totally replaying it.

i LOVED Ty!!! Such a classic, unfortunately it was overshadowed by Jak, Ratchet, and a bit o' Sly, so i think that's why it wasn't as popular.

Even the 2nd one was good i think. :P
