Yeah, it's always more fun having to run away every time you see someone looking at you suspiciously, rather than just sitting in the pub having a pint. Although i've not tried the latter, so i can't really compare :P.

High school was fine, college was fine, university is great. Nearly all my high school friends went to my college (except reelbigcheese =[ SAD FACE) so I always had loads of friends to hang round with, but the actual education parts? Guuhhh. I don't want to be taught how to pass exams. Now I'm at Uni, I'm being properly taught.. and halfway through the year decided I don't really wanna be taught at all, so I didn't really go to any lectures after christmas. Fun as hell though :)

I recommend she goes to the university of teesside and hits me up, dawg.

18 is the end of high school for us, then we go off to college. The difference between a "college", a "university", and an "institute" here is just semantics really. Graduate school is an option for post-college but usually a specialized degree can function the same as a graduate degree, and most graduate programs are just given in a university anyway.

schools will often have their own sixth-form college within them aswell (some don't) in which case yeh, you can stay on at school all the way till 18.

But isnt that an alternative to a regular college route?

Then again you could go when you finish 6th form.

generally it is yes, the vast majority of people that leave sixth form who do further education will go straight onto university, and universities will in general, ask for A Levels, which are the courses you will do in sixth form.

Colleges generally offer a wide variety of courses, aswell as then offering A Level courses aswell for those who don't have access to a specialised sixth form college, or who's school doesn't have it's own sixth form.

Sucks that i still have to go to school for a few more weeks though, its like the hard classes are over i should just be able to quit math now D:

Computer Bullshit

So my computer got boned. I was using it and it froze with the screen turning into a portion of the current screen skewed and repeated 50 times. now I can't even get it to stay on for more than 10 seconds without it freezing up the same way. I talked to a friend and he says it sounds like something with the ram shorted out, and that I need a new motherboard, which sucks balls. I'm on my sister's computer now, which also sucks balls, because she has all these useless programs running on startup. And for icing on the cake I'm trying to use aim on her computer and the part that displays the conversation is blank, and an input window...

Can you get into BIOS? If so, check your voltages, if it keeps coming back on temporarily, since the bios normally starts before the RAM, it may be your problem.

are you able to explain more about how the BIOS can get affected, i have a 64bit 8gb ram pc and it sometimes doesnt start up, it sometimes freezes and had a couple of 'blue screens of death' but sometimes it works fine, i think its overheating of the ATI:( graphics card, you seem better at this than me so any help would be really apreciated :)

well i always choose the one in the middle column i feel as if the black in the other column is like a different colour and ALWAYS change it, adobe maybe had some issues at head office and wanted the new cs3 of flash to be more ethenitcally friendly, who knows, maybe email them about it ? also you know malteasers, the inside of the box one is black as well, not white like the back of the packet should be...
