I find the opposite. Mac users are all "Hurf Durf, macs are better", then when i ask why nobody knows. Seriously, can anyone think why they are better (except for the UI), nothing pops into my head. Windows has more programs, more games, anything mac compatible has a windows version as well, but not vice versa.
I don't hate macs btw, i'm getting one.

Yeah Mac users do tend to be a bit "elitist", I don't think I really am... But personally I like Macs because they seem a lot quicker than Windows, Mac OSX has never crashed on me, the dashboard is a gret idea, plus Exposé & Spaces is fucking immense. I don't know I ever managed without F9 & F11.

I find that people that think Mac suck are to noobish to use any OS outside of windose.
All programs almost always have a mac version now or at least there's a mac program that does the same thing.
Only argument that ever seems semi valid is more games for the PC...but I can't remember the last time I wanted to play a game that wasn't for the Mac or a console.
All Blizzard games now come to the mac on opening day, and those are the only computer games outside of flash I ever play. (I hate Wow, is waiting on SC2) Anything else works fine on my PS3, but thats cause it's made to play games.
That's just my opinion, I use Windows, OSX, and Linux OSes... Always fun to not limit yourself to one system.

I want that.
I was thinking about getting the 2.4Ghz model, as I really dont need that extra .2Ghz for another $500 . The 2.6Ghz has another 256MB of video memory however, which I thought might future proof it a bit more. If im spending that much money on a laptop I might aswell pay another 20% and make it last for another year or two, right? Also means I can play the few games nicely :P

That sounds like Fridays at my tech school.
Get like 2 hours worth of homework each day, then Friday comes along and you get 20hours+ worth of homework. You'd think they could just spread it out better.

I think Macs are good for people who just want to like plug in there shit and have it work. PC's are good for more hands on types that like to upgrade their own shit and stuff.
I will always prefer my PC to a Mac. Yeah theres occasional problems, but the software offered and the more hands on control makes it worth it.
Also those I'm a Mac commercials are really getting under my skin now. I just saw one using that "Mac don't get viruses" fallacy.
Virus writers don't write viruses for Macs because your market share is so small compared to PCs that it is unworthy of the effort :P
I'm not knocking Macs, I just agree there's definitely an elitist fan base to them.

As long as PC doesn't only mean Windows Systems (don't understand how microsoft took that name) and it makes more sense.
But I agree, i use my mac when I want something to be fast and work and not have me make it work. Its like my vacation computer.
Then if I want to feel special and semi smart, I use my Windows boot. And if I actually want to be smart and I'm in a coding mood, I'll boot up Ubuntu.
Also I believe Mac users are elitists (not all) because people nock on the mac way too much without having full valid points to in and just go (LAWLZ MACS SUCK IT CANT PLAY ALL MY CRAPPY GAMES JUST THE GOOD GAMES THAT ARE MULTIPLATFORM LAWLZ)
People aren't better because they use a Mac, but i'd use a mac over a vista boot anyday.
Windows 7 looks promising... 2010!

Kirk and me have a daily ritual.
We both sign onto MSN at work, berate each other about our choice of consoles and operating systems (I'm an XBox 360 and PC person, he is a dirty heathen), he somehow turns it to a Your Mom joke, and we both laugh about it
You're a dirty elitist Kirk. :)

I'm updating the team list and we're approaching a size where I may have to start cutting teams that don't show a lot of potential. I also need to set new rules for any future applications:
Please do not submit a team application unless two of your team members have won awards on Newgrounds.
I'm sorry to have to limit this event, but if it gets too big, I feel that participating teams could suffer. I may be imposing a cut-off of 33 teams, so that we have a manageable number for the release schedule and ongoing publicity.
I am just plain gutted.
i mean none of my team have awards.
This is just stupid.

I can understand why its gonna be dissappointing for people that cant participate, but I guess this thing needs quality control or its just gonna go out of control.
Newgrounds has such a large and talented community that theyre gonna have to limit it to some degree. Its only fair that the artists that have proved themselves in the past are the ones to represent Newgrounds in this thing.
It doesnt mean people cant still collaborate and make games, and if anything should encourage people to more so. Next year is almost a definate if this year goes well(which it undoubtably will), so people have plenty of time to win a few awards in time :)

I still think its a little unfair to other people though. Plenty of users have no awards because they are overlooked. I've won awards, I just feel bad for those who all got ready just to hear that. (or read)

How else would you limit it though?
If you let anyone that wants to make a game we are gonna have a list of 80 games. The event will just drag on with a long tail of half finished games, and it will devalue the whole thing.

RE: Power of Quality Control
It's fair. Why? Because it's not a contest. It's a charity fundraiser.
NG puts out thirty of the best free games the summer will ever see, promotes the shite out of them, throws them up on Digg (and gets inevitably beaten to the punch... but the in game ads helps there), and it'll generally look good for Childs Play if it's just 33 of the best we have to offer. CP puts them up on its own site (thirty's a good number!), raises tonne of money and we get great PR.
It does mean me, my brother and his artist next door neighbour won't get to compete as a last minute thing. But what the hell. It's charity.
