Easy to pick up. I don't want to read instructions.
Instantly gratifying. I don't want to invest a ton of time in a flash game.
Addicting qualities. Powerups, combos.
Added twist. Take a genre, make it look/feel different (catapalt games? Shopping cart hero?)

Yeah, i agree. But i dont mind reading instructions (i tend to mash play and press all teh buttons xD ), i always like good replay value.

Hate to admit this, but I had never heard of the watchmen before that happy harry cartoon. It seems like a staple of the eighties, dunno how I missed it. Anyway, I went and bought the graphic novel compilation today, am almost done reading it. It's quite intriguing. I can see where shows like Lost and Heroes have definitely taken inspiration from it.

Though both shows have seriously declined in quality recently

I agree, Ive been really enjoying Boms games lately. Dunno how the hell he does it while juggling a full time job making flash games for woogi world aswell!

Gotta say the artwork for those 2 games is absolutely amazing aswell.

To be honest I know very little about comics. Most of these super hero movies of late are way over my head. I haven't even read a Spiderman comic before, and I know maybe 2 Xmen off the top of my head.

I just came back from the cinema, I just watched Watchmen.

Since the topic of conversation is what kind of games we like, can I get some feedback on the game I'm working on? It's in the Pre-Alpha stage right now, so there are only 5 levels and some of the main menu items don't work yet.
