Childish Joys
This weekend I get to run around Macys with a price scanning gun and choose stuff for my wedding registry.

I'm not entirely sure whether I'll have more fun choosing stuff for the wedding registry or shooting the barcode gun. I'm thinking the latter. There's going to be probably 200 towels on the registry from all the fun I'm having.

I still have these childish joys such as barcode scanning and pushing elevator buttons. What's on your childish joys list?

Hi there!

I got to admit.
These bloody medals are making me go back and play the game more. It haunts my thoughts - "I must get more points - I must win more metals."
I have succumbed to the medals. I have been defeated.

And now I must play more Portal Defenders.

I was talking to my girlfriends dad today, hes the Music Editor for News of the World Scotland. Hes starting a full spread feature on games every week or month (dont ask me why the music editor is doing this...), part of which is online flash games.

So yeah he wants to feature one or two of my games in there! Im gonna put Penguinz on it, and possibly try and bring a bit of recognition to some games from Newgrounds. Gotta keep love for your roots and all that :P

Ive been playing Portal Defenders a lot recently and i want to try and get that mentioned on there too considering its very Newgrounds related, if thats ok with Luis and Bom...

I wanted to ask this but didn't want to make a new thread, so I decided to ask it here. I have CS4 and I submitted something to a collab that would only take things saved as flash 8 files, but I thought at the time that he meant changing it to flash player 8. So could anyone here with CS3 do me a favor and convert it to flash 8 for me? it would be great!

The medals have put me through the same damn process xbox 360 acheivements did.

I started off with the mindset 'If I get achievements as I go great but im not going to go out of my way at all to get them'

This turned over time into 'Well if I get my friends xbox and I rent crackdown and I bring my tv and xbox and an ethernet cable to his house and play it all night ill get that 10g Achievement!'

So yeah people, be prepared. Id basically sell my diginity for a few achievements now.

I love portal, first game that really combines gameplay, puzzles, story, voice acting and graphics brilliantly, I recommend prelude, there are some real tough bastards in there.

I'll be meeting one of my friends up North to see it on Saturday. The comic is one of the most important in it's medium (ushering in the dark and broody Iron Age of comics... which is why Wolverine wears Kevlar instead of Spandex and you get all that power and responsibility shite) and should, should be a damn good watch.

I'm gonna see it in Imax, probably in a week or two. I saw TDK in Imax as well and that was pretty awesome. I haven't read the comic and I'm still debating whether or not I should do that first.

Are you limited to what you can zap? Ive always thought to myself that if i do the wedding registry thing, id zap things id really want. Then my invited guests could be like errr they want a Dead Rising 2 video game...ps3... bottle of sambuca (fuck you kirk)

I'd go to your wedding. Sounds like it'd be awesome. I could see you with a video game themed wedding cake.

Nope, I can zap anything, thankfully.

Actually I have two wedding registries. My main registry is for Amazon.com and has things I actually want on it (read: camera lenses, video games, and books) but since there are so many people who still don't know what the internet is we are also having a brick-and-mortar registry, so you can go to the store and find a kiosk.
