Having met him in real life, I can safely say that Luis is Tseng.

Sweeeeet :D

Anyone got any other gripes with flash sites?

You pretty much got it all, i didn't see it but LAAAGGG is as huge one. I have a fairly good comp but so many flash sites make you wait 5 minutes for it to load, and once it does theres little moving things everywhere, half of them blurred and it slows my whole damn comp...

thats about it^^

While we're onto tablets again, I'm thinking of buying a wacom soon with whatever money I get from the game i'm currently working on. Is there a considerable difference between similar sized bamboo and intuos models?

I know! But sometimes when you change spaces, certain windows (tool bar, timeline) are on one space, and the rest is on another.

The only way i've found to fix this is just Cmd + Q and flash fixes itself, but often in the wrong space. Worse of all you cant change the space of Flash ):

Looking for Website Hosting
So I'm looking around for website hosting, and I don't really know where to look (or who can be trusted for that matter..) so I'd like to ask all of you for suggestions. I don't need them to be free, I can afford hosting, although cheaper would be nicer :p

Also hi :D

Energy drinks are like human powerups

Am I the only one who finds that energy drinks give me a boost creatively? They make me more active... Kinda like i've been dipping a wet finger in a bag of MDMA all day. They actually do give you energy.. it's not just a hoax!

Usually when I drink energy drinks I just start twitching everywhere. I once drank one before school and my handwriting was the worst I had ever seen.
And on creativity, for me it actually destroys all creativity and incentive.

I'm actually drinking a Rock Star right now.

Yeah maybe to what you said about destroying your creativity. Although when thinking about it, i'd say it has no effect on your creativity, just more of an effect on the surrounding areas. It gives you energy, making you draw quicker, think quicker. I can't imagine it'd be too good for actionscripting because it would make you more twitchy.

AIR Chatter

My company wants me to try my hand at developing a chat system that integrates a client interface and an employee interface. The client interface will be a simple, AJAX webpage that feeds into an XML socket. The employee interface will be more robust with different options, formatting, predefines, etc. However, the employee interface will actually be based on an AIR application. How efficient do you think this would be?

Oh, and I'll be using AIR because it's what I know. Plus, it has to be a desktop application that can integrate with a web chat client.

Web Hosting

I use godaddy, it's fine for me, I barely use it anyway, except to host some files. The one time I used their customer service it was excellent, except the guy sounded kind of high... he was very laid back and talked to me like I was a little kid, pretty odd, but w/e.

If you need web hosting, look up HostDime. I work for that company. It's sister company, Surpass Hosting, has a lot of good deals every so often, and the community is pretty lively. Plus, if you ever need support, you can just e-mail, IM, or PM me the ticket number and I can check it out for you :D

I have been made deputy safety officer in my office.

They have given me an orange construction vest and whistle, and I get to help people get out of the building if it burns down.

Considering wearing it full-time.

Reminds me of my elementary Safety-Patrol days.
It was the only cool way to be the teachers pet,
because they gave you a badge for it.

If you morph that into a police officer/construction worker hybrid outfit, that's like, one-fifth of the Village People.

Spotify invites

Maybe someone remember me talking about this music streaming service called Spotify a while back? Well, I got a few invites I don't really know what to do with because pretty much everybody I know already have an account, so I figured that I would hand out 3-4 of them to fellow regs :)

Any takers?
