Why do I have the sudden urge to sit in a garage and eat crap for a year while animating a film?
Hmmm....

Is a calculator a suitable machine? I also have a computer if that will work.

To be honest, if I was a decent animator I wouldn't mind taking a gap year to do something like that. Sounds kinda fun :P
Everyone should be allowed to spend a certain portion of their life completely geeking-it - animating as a team in a garage, living off of pizza and occasionally watching old science fiction DVDs.

Now that you talk about it I really have the urge to do that. Let's all unite our geekiness in a garage sometime this summer and live life the way we should.
If anyone near the south of England i'm up for doing that for a year with some low hour part time job as well.
Fo'serious, i dont have a garage though...
Ah blast - we don't have a garage. our dream will never come true!
I have a garage, I have a garage! Whose willing to drive up to South Dakota!?

Lulz i live in South England XD
But im still at school for another year :/
.
Would a closet work instead of a garage?
Not that I want to be with 3 guys and a machine in a closet or anything...

Luis has a garage, i declare that the next "NG Nerd Super Old Science Movie Film Making Weekend" will be next week at luises.
We could all go live with Luis for a year and make animations in his garage. Sound good?
the real nerds are programmers, not animators.

Same for both.

Ah, but what if you can animate and program? Are you some kind of hybrid super nerd?
So urm out of curiosity is anyone planning on doing anything for clockday '08? its like the 15th.. anything other than spam that is :)

The constant jokes about being in the closet would kill it :(

Pretty much :P
what about getting out of the closet with 2 guys and a machine?
... or just 2 guys?
More to the point, when are more people going to start with the old-skool NG sigs? You can't have a fad with just three takers :/

Does hollow point count? It's not really old but I guess it's the sig that started it. it's from the inglor times so i guess it's pretty old
and speaking of old-school stuff - i read some stuff from pages 300-325 of this thread and i couldn't stop laughing from all the shit and bad jokes people said. the new regs are boring :P

Sig fads are silly. Get a sig and stick to it, I say.

I'll rise to the occasion...but I DO admire Kirk for his dedication. What's it been? A good 3 or 4 years?
always behind schedule.

Yeah about 4 years, since the summer of '04, which seems like forever ago.
